THE HAUNTING WITH MILFORD MINE DISASTER SITE 2:26

Welcome to the haunting with the milford mine disaster site the milford mine was a manganese
mine that opened in 1917 in Wolford Township in north-central Minnesota sadly on February 5 th
1924 a disaster occurred here a cave in occurred when a layer of mud was tapped that was
connected to fully lake the mine immediately started flooding with water many miners were
washed away from the water as was a miner named Clinton Harris who held on to the emergency
siren while the floodwaters filled in around him out of the 48 miners only seven survived the
Milford mine disaster is the worst mine disaster in Minnesota state history due to all of the mud
around the mine it took nine months to recover all of the bodies however even was this
unfortunate disaster the mine did eventually reopen and there the story that when some of the new
miners entered the mine for the first time they claimed to see the spirit of Clinton Harris the brave
soul who sacrificed himself to save others when he held on to the emergency siren when the miners
seen him they claimed he looked like a rotting corpse with distant eyes and all of the sudden then
defunct emergency siren started blaring the miners scrambled for the exit terrified also to this day
the site is still said to be haunted by the deceased miners who left this world to soon well thank you
