INTRODUCTION
Importance of speaking English is
cannot be denied and ignored since English
is the greatest common language that
spoken universally, Achieving the fluency
and mastery of speaking English language
of the selected students is not possible to
achieve. English speaking is the major
window of the modern world. Speaking is
the one of the important part in English
skills that should be mastered by students
besides reading. Speaking English is a vital
language for different kinds of professional
and personal goals. English is the most
widely spoken native language in the world.
As we know, importance of English in
communication is become very important
day by day. English Language is the one of
the simplest and easiest natural language in
the world.
The goal of communicative competence
is to make the students to speak up.
Speaking is a crucial part of second
language learning and teaching, it means
students should be able communicate with
others to get or to share information to
express what they feel. The student are
faced some problems in learning English
speaking skill. It is an opportunity to use
what learned, to broaden each horizon and
to improve the best version of ourselves.
English language is a primary source of
communication. English language also plays
a powerful tool in communication. In order
to communicate successfully, one needs a
language that is commonly understood by
most of the people in the speech
community.

1. What are the importance of speaking
English of the selected students in Bangcud
National High School?
2. What are the effects of speaking English
on the selected students of Bangcud
National High School?
3. How does speaking English influence the
students of Bangcud National High School?
METHOD
The researchers assumed by using
this qualitative descriptive was
appropriated. This study, is a case study
and goal of this research is to determine
the importance of speaking English. The
study was conducted at Bangcud National
High School, located at Purok 2 Bangcud,
Malaybalay City. The said school is one of
the High Schools in the Division of
Malaybalay City. The participants of the
study are the selected students of grade 10
curriculum and will taken randomly and
will be given a questionnaires as an
instrument to gather the needed
information or data that will be used for
the study only and identity will be kept
between researchers and the respondents.
DISCUSSION
Speaking English language is
important to the selected students
because it can achieved their fluency of
speaking English. It is the way and
opportunity to broaden each horizon and
to improve the best version of
themselves. It also help them to develop
their grammar, writing, analytical,
reading and verbal skills. English
language is difficult to learn but it helps
to get a deeper understanding ang
motivates to become a better listener,
which it plays as powerful tool to share
ideas and thoughts in order to
communicate successfully.
CONCLUSION
Speaking English is important to the
students and to each of us because this
may open many doors of opportunity and
plays a vital role in our academic
performance and future jobs. This is a
primary source of communication that
made us easy to connect other people.
This study helps the students to
enhance their oral communication skills
and to improve their vocabulary in English.
RESULT
1. What are the importance of speaking
English of the selected students in Bangcud
National High School? -The importance of
speaking English is necessity. Learning
English increases the chances of getting a
better job within the home country or work
outside the country. It is an international
language, used for socializing to other people
and entertainment. Learning English really
can change their lives, it has a vital role in
our living.
2. What are the effects of speaking English
on the selected students of Bangcud National
High School? -Speaking English has a
positive and negative effects on the selected
students. Some have difficulties in speaking
and learning English because it can lower
their level of confidence, they can’t express
what they wanted to express and their ideas
are limited when they use or speak English.
On the other hand, English is an easy and
interesting language to learn, can boost their
level of confidence and challenge for them to
learn.
3. How does speaking English influence the
students of Bangcud National High School?
-Speaking English influenced the students
through their speaking skills, they can
improve more effective and efficient in
English language. Proficiency in English can
benefit every students from participating in
classroom activities and by communicating
with other people day by day. They are
influenced by the different kind of resources,
where they can improve their vocabularies.
