Guidelines for Parents:


1. Please read and understand the comprehensive guidelines/ instructions
given in the Concept Paper for the Online Support Program.

2. The weekly work assigned will be split over the week days according to
the timetable set by parents.

3. Parents will monitor and supervise their ward’s work.

4. Any videos/ research work suggested in the assignments will be strictly


monitored by parents.

5. Written work to be done on loose sheets with clear mention of Student’s


name, class/section, subject/topic and date.

Topic Task
Reading • Parent to do model reading pg 10, 11. Child to read the
same pg again at least 3 times.
The Elves & the • Ask the child to predict/ guess who has made the pair of

was the shoemaker surprised? What was the shoe made
up of? When did the shoemaker find pair of shoes? What is
the colour of new shoes? How does the shoemaker look
like?

Look in a book • Child to look at the picture & describe how many children
Picture are there. Where are they playing? What are the colours of
description backpacks? What are their names & what are they doing?
What else can you see?
• Write 5-8 sentences about the picture.

Look in a book • Revise vocabulary the child has learnt during the week. Ask
Make Word cards your child to enter words in ‘My Vocabulary Bank’.
• Give them small pieces of chart paper to make word cards
for the bedroom / classroom.
• Make at least 10 cards.

Lesson 5: Odd and Even Numbers
1. Go over Textbook pgs 19-.21, help your child recognize odd
and even numbers.
2. Go over Textbook pgs 22-23, discuss and let your child
answer the questions (oral work only).
3. Written Work: Do not ask the child to write on the workbooks.
All work is to be done on loose sheets (large squares) Children
must not draw the pictures they should only write the answer.
