Guidelines for Parents:
1. Please read and understand the comprehensive guidelines/ instructions
given in the Concept Paper for the Online Support Program

2. The weekly work assigned will be split over the week days according to
the timetable set by parents.

3. Parents will monitor and supervise their ward’s work.

4. Any videos/ research work suggested in the assignments will be strictly

monitored by parents.

5. Written work to be done on loose sheets with clear mention of Student’s

name, class/section, subject/topic and date.

Reading  Parent to do model reading pg 10, 11. Child to read the
Heidi same pg again at least 3 times.
 Ask a few simple Qs to answer like: Why was grandfather
worried? Why was Heidi there in the mountains? Who else
was worried too? What is in grandfather’s & Heidi’s hand?

Working together  Child to look at the picture & describe which colour team is
Use of English doing which activity: red, yellow, green & purple. Match all 4
Qs with the answer.
 Write four sentences about each colour team.

Working together  Use a skipping rope to do it. Count number with each jump.
Let’s do it!  Let’s see how many times you can jump in 1 minute. Teach
your child how to note 1 minute time in a clock.

Guidelines for Lesson 2: Subtraction (with regrouping)

Parents

2. Discuss & explain pgs 35-43 and help your child to subtract a
number from a 4 digit number with regrouping Do point out that
we subtract the ones, then the tens, then the hundreds and
finally the thousands.
3. Explain how to regroup (borrow) from the next place value.
4. Written Work: Do not ask the child to write on the workbooks.
All work is to be done on loose square sheets (children must
not draw the pictures they should only write sum and the
answer). Go over and let your child do:
