Remember these points

• Remember the audience.

• You have to satisfy all of them.

• Give much importance in introducing your work.

• Spend 2-3 slides for introduction of your research field.
• Next 3-4 slides describe your own research work.
• Remaining time should be devoted to describing your work and
important research contributions and results systematically.
• Summarize and conclude your work in the last 2 min
Some general guidelines

• Each slide should be prepared concisely with fewer words/ statements.

• Diagrams and labels must be clear even from the back row. Include more
diagrams, labels and tables. Slides should be self-explanatory

• ONE MUST NOT READ FROM THE SLIDES DURING PRESENTATION. This
creates a rather bad impression. (This point is very important).

• Remain cool and humble during presentation. Answer questions precisely

during and after presentation.
• If you do not know the right answer, admit the same humbly. But your
fundamentals should be absolutely clear. Spend more time in understanding the
fundamentals.

• You may use modern presentation techniques with animation. But, remember
that animation should be used only if necessary.

• Spend more time with your supervisor. Quality of your work will be directly
proportional to the amount of time you spend with your supervisor.
• Presentation should be in English
