2019 Arequipa - Colca Canyon Trek 2d/1n

San Miguel - Sangalle (Oasis)

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arequipa at 03:00 a.m. with a touristic
transportation. After three hours of driving we’ll arrive to CHIVAY. In this town you will
have to pay the entrance ticket and we continue to YANQUE village and here have the
breakfast. Then we will continue until the view point ‘CRUZ DEL CONDOR’. We will stop
here for about one hour approx. to see the CONDORS fly and to enjoy the beautiful view over
the canyon. Afterwards we will continue for 15 more minutes until the view point named
PAMPA SAN MIGUEL, from where we can see the paths over which we will walk.

We begin the trekking at 3280 m.a.s.l. and descend a thousand meters into the canyon. After
three hours and a half we arrive in the first village SAN JUAN DE CHUCCHO at 2300
m.a.s.l. Here you will have some time to rest and have the lunch. After lunch we will continue
walking for one hour in the length of the Colca River to the next village COSÑIRHUA, 2660
m.a.s.l. On the way the guide will tell you about the nature and wild animals, medicinal plants
and the culture of the people living in the canyon. In COSÑIRHUA you can rest for a little
while. Then we will continue for 1 one and a half to SANGALLE, better known as the Oasis.
In the Oasis you swim in the swimming pool. The temperature of the water is around 20
degrees Celsius. We will have dinner here and we will spend the night in a bungalow. We
recommend you to bring a flash light for this place.

30.12.2019 Sangalle (Oasis) - Cabanaconde - PUNO

We will wake up at 5:00 a.m. for the ascent to CABANACONDE, where we will arrive after
3 hours of walking ( If you do not wish you hike out of the canyon you can rent a mule). We
have the breakfast in this place, and then you will back by bus to CHIVAY. On the way we
will make a stop to see Inca and pre-Inca agricultural terraces from one of the viewing points.
And them, before to CHIVAY, in YANQUE tonw, we will visiting the hot springs for one
hour. The medicinal water has a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius. Afterward you are able to
lunch in CHIVAY before continuing to PUNO.

On the way we stop in the highest part of our way 4910 m.a.s.l. and the last stop will be in the
national reserve to see Lamas, Alpacas and vicuñas, the South American camelids. We will
arrive in PUNO at 7:00 p.m. approximately.

31.12.2019 Puno - Uros - Amantani

We begin this tour at 7:45 am. With the transfer from your hotel to the port. Then we embark
towards the floating island of the Uros (25 min Approx.), Al

arrive we receive a small reception from the inhabitants, then our guide will give us a full
explanation of the inhabitants, customs and characteristics of this fascinating place, we visit 2
of the 80 islands and we will also have the opportunity to take a short walk (15 min approx.)
in traditional totora boats (optional). Then

After a 3-hour navigation we arrive at Amantani Island, at disembark at the port, the group is
divided into smaller groups to the rest in the rural houses with the diverse families Taquileñas.
The Typical lunch is attended with designated families; at sunset, we embark on a hike to the
highest point of the known island like "pacha tata" to watch the sunset. There our guide will
give us a brief description of the main features and peculiarities of the island.

After dinner the designated family dressed us in their typical costumes, to lead us to the room
or club of the community, where we will have a small celebration When returning the
overnight in the designated rural houses for each group.

01.01.2020 Amantani - Taquile

Breakfast and we start our tour at 8:00 am. With the boat towards the island of Taquile, after
an hour approx. Navigation, we arrived to this island, when disembarking at the port we start
with a walk gradually ascending to the main square of the island, (45 min approx. walking) to
visit the communal cooperative where their tissues, the guide will let us know about the way
of life of the inhabitants and its famous textile industry that was declared as “heritage
intangible cultural culture of humanity ”by UNESCO; then we will have lunch in one of the
local restaurants;

After the lunch we descend a route of 500 steps to the main port (optional route). At
approximately 1:00 pm.

We embark to Puno (3 hours of navigation approx.)

At 10:00 PM We take a bus from puno a Cusco. We will arrive to Cusco at 6:30 approx.

02.01.2020 Cusco - city tour

In cusco we have the morning free to acclimatize to the height of 3,360 m.a.s.l. In the
afternoon, we will visit the city of Cusco where you will go with a profesinal guide to the
Cathedral inside which you will find beautiful cedar wood carvings where the choir and the
pulpit stand out, as well as paintings from the Cuzqueña school and embossed silver objects.
You will also visit the Qorikancha or Temple of the Sun, which is currently the church of
Santo Domingo. Continue to the four surrounding ruins as well as: The Fortress of
Sacsayhuamán, Q´enqo, Puca-pucara and Tambomachay.

Return to your hotel in Cusco.

03.01.2020 Cusco - Rainbow mountain in Vinicunca + Red Valley

We will pick you up at your respective hotel at 3:30 AM, then start our incredible adventure
driving 3 hours in our private van through the South Valley through different towns such as
Urcos, Quiquijana until you reach the town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy After a delicious
breakfast, we will continue our journey towards the beginning of the path called
Phulawasipata (4,600 m / 15,091 ft.). Along this road there are stunning views of agricultural
terraces, canyons and snowy mountains.

Once you arrive at the beginning of the trail our guide will give you a small instruction of the
area and the last reaches to finally start a walk of approximately 1.5 hours for a moderate
climb. During the trip we will have the opportunity to appreciate a variety of South American
camelids, spectacular ecosystems of this place and beautiful views of the snowy Ausangate.
At approximately 10:00 we will arrive at our destination called Vinicunca or Rainbow
Mountain (5,020 m / 16,466 ft.). Here you will have enough time to enjoy this unique
landscape that capriciously formed geography and you can also take spectacular views of this
place that seems hand painted and brush. After our visit to the mountain of colors we will
return to the starting point, the walk will take approximately 50 minutes of descent until we
return to this point, where our private transport will be waiting for us to take us back to the
town of Cusipata, where we will enjoy a Delicious buffet lunch, and after a short break we
will begin the return trip to Cusco arriving at approximately 5:00 pm.

After our visit to the mountain of colors we will continue our walk to the impressive
viewpoint of the red valley where you will have enough time to be able to take stunning views
of this landscape surrounded by red mountains and small colored mountains. After this
moderate time for the photos we will begin the descent through the impressive red valley for a
period of 2.5 hours approx. Surrounded by lots of South American camelids and small
lagoons until we reach Osefina where we will be waiting for our mobility and then return to
our private restaurant located in the town of Cusipata where we will enjoy a delicious buffet
lunch prepared by our chef and after A short break we will undertake the return trip to Cusco
arriving at approximately 5:00 pm.

04.01.2020 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Ollantaytambo - Cusco

Breakfast at the hotel, that day we will leave early to make the walk of 2 hours approx. or you
can take the mobility until we reach the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, we will visit this
majestic place sector by sector for a period of 02 hours with the explanation of our guide, then
you will have free time to visit this wonder on your account, You can climb the mountain of
Huayna Picchu, from where you can enjoy spectacular views of all Machupicchu, the valleys
and mountains that surround it, or we can visit the temple of the moon or the fabulous Inca
Bridge. Return to Aguas Calientes.

After we will take the Train to Ollantaytambo, where a transport is waiting to take you to your
Hotel in cusco.
