 Ultra-fine Grinding of Fly Ash

High Power Jet Mill

Principle of operation :

High power jet mill is an upgrade product of jet mill. With the high
temperature sealing technology and cooling technology, high temperature
steam excited from specially designed Laval nozzle makes
the material move at very high speed and impact with each other.
Pulverized material enters compulsory vertex classifier. Fine product
is collected by thermal insulation collecting system and coarse product
falls into pulverizing zone. The whole process is in dry condition.

Characteristic of High Power Jet Mill

• Low power consumption. Steam supply from power plan, low cost

• High pulverizing performance, thanks to high velocity of 1020m/s. As

common jet mill only reaches 600m/s, high power jet mill can produce

finer particle than other mills.

• Steep particle size distribution thanks to high pulverizing performance

and accurate classifying brought by high velocity and low power viscosity.

 Ultra-fine Grinding of Fly Ash

Process Features :
• Specific surface area of fly ash >700m2/kg.
• Particle size of ultra-fine fly ash : 32µm, residue <10%; 46µm, no residue.
• Power consumption: 45-60 wh/t, varies from raw material.
• High wear-resisting and long service life.
• Negative pressure, no dust emission, environment friendly.

Application
Improve the activation and additive amount in cement, concrete. After
modification can be use as filler for rubber product and solid waste
such as slag etc.

 Fly Ash Mechanical Activation
Process Description :
EMC, is initial for Energetically Modified Cement, which is a new cement and
mixed concrete produced by a process of energetic modification. During the
process, the surface of the particle is changed by impacting. The impacting
process increases the surface area and improves the activation. EMC and
EMC fly ash are product of high activation grinding technology, by mixing
and grinding silicate cement and fly ash.

Process Description :
The man modifier for fly ash surface modification is silence coupling
agent. Selection of the modifier shall be based on the formula of the
organic polymer product, Process and technical requirement of the
product. A composite modifier made of two or more kinds of modifier
is required by special organic polymer product. With silence coupling
agent, the surface modification of fly ash can dramatically improve the
quality and performance of fly ash.
