Gluteraldehyde and QAC based disinfectant

SCOPE OF APPLICATION
GALOX® AZUR is a liquid product for disinfection of equipment in the meat and beverage industry
(complete machine parts, walls, floors, low pressure / turbulence cycle, foot wash basin …)

PROPERTIES
• Effective in a wide spectrum of activity
• Effective with its organic components, especially due to its associativity of active agents
• Compatible and not corrosive against material
• Userfriendly due to its formaldehyde-free formulation
• Practical for use in foot wash basin and immersing basin: the depletion of the disinfection effect is
shown when colours change.

APPLICATION
APPLICATION DOSAGE (V/V) METHOD
Foam 1 to 2% Apply with foam equipment: approx. 400 to 800 m2
floor space can be covered with 100 l solution.
Leave 20 minutes.
Spraying application 1 to 2% Apply with foam equipment: rinse after 10 to 15
minutes reaction time.
Foot wash basin or immersion 2 to 3% The bath should be renewed when colours change
from blue to yellow-green (depletion of the
disinfection effect).
CIP station with low pressure 1 to 2% Disinfection of filling machines, vats and low
pressure/turbulence cycles.

MONITORING OF THE CLEANING SOLUTION

• Take 20 ml out of the bath and add into a 100 ml test tube.
• Add 15 ml chloroform, 10 ml of the neutral indicator and 5 ml sulphuric acid 0.5 N.
• Close the test tube and shake it very well, the phase underneath changes to blue.
• Add sodium lauryl sulphate 0.004 M and shake very well until colour changes to pink.
• If V is the added volume of 0.004 M sodium lauryl sulphate solution, the concentration of GALOX ®
AZUR in the bath (in %) amounts to: V x 0.13 (G/V resp. V/V)

STORAGE
GALOX® AZUR is a corrosive product which harms the skin. We recommend the user to wear safety
gloves, safety boots, and safety glasses. If the product comes into contact with the body, put off the
moistened clothes and rinse with water for several minutes. If the product comes into contact with
eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of water and consult an eye specialist.
Never mix with another product, only if our technicians inform you to do so.
Please consult the material safety data sheet before you make use of the product.
Store at a temperature between 5°C and 35°C.
