Once there lived a man named Jimmy Jack who
loved to eat roasted chicken. One night, after Jimmy
en, he found that he was

"No sensé wasting a tasty meal on a poor
appetite,” he said. “I will wall until Tam hungry.”
He left his dinner on the table, locked his front
door, and hid the key beneath a loose stone.
Soon, he met his neighbor, Marco, who also
loved to eat chicken, Jimmy Jack eyed his neighbor
with distrust.
CHOLASTI“know you love roasted chicken,” said Jimmy
Jack. “But you won't get mine, I have safely locked it
inside my house and hidden the key beneath a stone.”
‘The neighbor went to Jimumy Jack's house, And
there was the key, beneath a stone! The appetizing
roasted chicken was on the table! Soon, the neighbor
had eaten the whole meal. Then he went out, locked
the door, carefully hid the key, and went home.
When Jimmy Jack retuned, he found nothing but
chicken bones.
“If [hadn't found my key just where [eft it,” he
said, “I would suspect my neighbor.”
Just then, a fly buzzed into the room.
“Ha!” shouted Jimmy Jack. “Here's the thief!”
Snatching the fly, Jimmy Jack ran to a judge and
told him that the fly had eaten his chicken.
‘The judge Gould not resist teasing Jimmy Jack.
“Take this stick,” he said. “Try to hit the fly with it.
‘The law says if you strike him, he is guilty. If you miss,
he is innocent.” 2
Jimmy Jack swung the stick just as the fly land
‘on the judge's nose. Whack! Jimmy Jack missed
the fly and hit the judge.
“I guess the fly was blameless,” said
Jimmy Jack.
‘The judge rubbed the bump on his nose.
“Its better to teach a fool than to tease
him,” he said.
