ABOUT MEGATAMA
MEGATAMA (MGT) is a trading company and a distributor of various application paint and
industrial products. MGT have been exclusively cooperating with numerous partners, namely
GUSANA Paint (industrial, marine, decorative and floor coating), Nippon Paint Automotive Refinish
(NPARI), and GORI (wood protection from PPG Coatings Denmark).

While MGT remains an independent company, its founders are also the chairmen of GUSANA Paint.
MGT has access to sell various paint products for all industries. In industrial and manufacture
coating market, MGT can supply products from GUSANA Paint, a local paint manufacturer which
has a wide range of high quality products with the price relatively lower than most competitors.

In automotive refinish coating industry, MGT has been appointed as a distributor by Nippon Paint
Automotive Refinish, a giant multinational company which is highly regarded in the automotive
refinish industry worldwide.

MGT has also been appointed as a trademark holder by PPG Coatings Denmark to exclusively
import and distribute GORI products in Indonesia. GORI is a No. 1 wood protection product in
Scandinavia and some other countries in Europe. GORI has also been sold to many other regions
worldwide, namely to China, Korea, Japan, Maldives (Sri Lanka), Thailand, Malaysia, etc. Therefore
MGT's GORI division will build a strong branding by making decisions on the market strategies.
Appointing distributors in Bandung and Bali. The market for GORI would be hotels, wood
workshop, architect, villa, resorts, etc. GORI Indonesia will hold a soft launching by the end of
February 2020.

PPG Coatings Danmark A/S (previously Dyrup A/S) is one of the biggest
paint and wood protection manufacturer in Denmark and Scandinavia
owned by PPG Industries, Inc., the largest coatings company in the world. In
2019, PPG scouted for a trademark holder and exclusive importer in
Indonesia for their famous wood protection product, GORI. After a careful
selection process of several candidates, MEGATAMA was officially appointed
by PPG as the trademark holder and exclusive importer of GORI Wood
Protection in Indonesia.

ABOUT GORI
The explanation of the name GORI is actually quite simple. The name was
based on the initials of founder's four children:
Georg, Orloff, Robert, and Inge.

The story about GORI began in 1902, when

Wilhelm O. Ehrenskjöld, who was responsible for
the security at Kolding Harbour, had noticed how
– despite careful maintenance with tar and pitch
– bulwark, cranes and other bollard constructions
were decaying from the inside in such a manner
that seemingly healthy would suddenly collapse.
He carried out experiments in order to obtain a
more effective form of wood protection and the
result of his experiments was GORIOL WOOD OiL.

In 1991, GORI became a part of the Dyrup

group, and in 2012, Dyrup was acquired by
PPG Industries, which is the world’s largest
coatings company with more than 47,000
employees.

GORI, expert on wood care offers a wide range of preservatives, wood

protection, maintenance, cleaning and decoration products, which all
preserve wood with its original beauty and natural qualities. GORI wood
protection has been produced in Scandinavia for more than 100 years, and
we are proud to call ourselves “The Scandinavian Woodcare Experts”.

GORI is still the market leader in wood protection in Scandinavia with a

market share of more than 40%, and keeps on bringing high quality
products on the market in Scandinavia and worldwide. The knowledge and

GORI ACTIVE PROTECTION
TECHNOLOGY
GORI Active Protection is a new and innovative
technology, which keeps wood healthy for a
significantly longer period of time. Products including
the Active Protection technology contain less than half
the amount of active agents compared to
conventional wood protection products.

With conventional technology, wood protection products tend to

release the active and protective substances in the first period after
application. This means that the wood will be extremely well
protected for the first period of time, but then the active agents will
begin to evaporate.

With ACTIVE PROTECTION, GORI has developed intelligent wood

protection, where the active agents are only released when and if
necessary. The protective agents are encapsulated in micro spheres,
and when they sense impact from e.g. rain or damp weather, they
release the amount needed to protect the wood.

The ACTIVE PROTECTION technology means that the active

agents will be released over a much longer periodof time. This
will not only extend the durability of the wood protection film
applied, but also be better for the environment as the applied
product will last longer, so less chemicals are used, and last but
not least the durability of the wood is significantly prolonged.

We have tested the products in various environments

since 2009:

• Outdoor exposure
• Stability of the encapsulation
• UV-stability

All tests show that Active Protection products perform

35 % better after 12 months, when compared to
conventional wood protection products.

 PRODUCT RANGE

GORI 22
GORI 22 is a solvent-based preservative product with insecticide,
anti-termite and fungicide properties. GORI 22 is used to
preserve and cure by spraying or brushing all types of outdoor
attacked wood. Recommended to preserve outdoor wood, and
materials derived from wood (doors, windows, fences, beams,
panelling, furniture, etc.).

GORI 44
GORI 44 is a solvent based translucent, matt finish wood
protection with surface fungicide properties. GORI 44 is based
on alkyd resins, and penetrates deep into the wood.

GORI 88
GORI 88 is a satin finish, translucent, solvent based wood stain
with surface fungicide properties. GORI 88 is based on alkyd
resins. GORI 88 is very easy to apply due to its thixotropic
formulation (minimizes tendency to drip).

GORI 91
GORI 91 OPAQUE WOOD STAIN is an opaque, water based wood
protection for both outdoor and indoor use. A bonding agent
with improved formula ensures stronger bonding of paint with
base and far greater elasticity. The product forms an opaque,
hard-wearing elastic film on all interior and exterior surfaces.

GORI 34
GORI 34 HIGH PERFORMANCE DECKING STAIN is a translucent
stain for exterior wooden decks. GORI 34 is a matt stain, which
enhances the natural structure of the wood grain and prevents
surface mould and fungi. GORI 34 offers extended durability.

GORI 38
GORI 38 DECKING OIL is a matt, solvent based, water repellent
oil for outdoor wooden decks. GORI 38 is based on special long
alkyd oil resins in solvent phase. Enhances the wood grain. High
penetration.

GORI 51
GORI 51 HIGH TRAFFIC FLOOR FINISH is a clear, high-viscosity,
water based (acrylic-polyurethane), interior varnish for wooden
flooring and all other interior woodwork such as handrails and
stairs.

GORI 57
GORI 57 MARINE FINISH is a clear, solvent based,
exterior/interior varnish for use on boats above the water line.
GORI 57 offers strong resistance against wear and weather.
