Recommendation

The most aromatic hydrocarbon used in this experiment was toluene which was the easiest to obtain—
although there were more to be explored like benzene, purine, pyrimidine, etc. Most of the hydrocarbons
may cause fire, irritation, and health hazards thus experiments must be careful in handling it. When
igniting the toluene, only a few drops of the reagent must be on the evaporating dish and avoid spreading
it on different apparatus or materials to avoid unnecessary flames outside the evaporating dish.
