Technology: a blessing or a curse

Introduction

In the mid 20 th century, people have gained control of technology sufficient to leave the
Earth's atmosphere and space for the first time. The technology is spreading quickly now with
the invention of the internet, the computer and the smartphones . Whenever we want or need
information we just type any topic we want in our cellphones and find the answer in less than
a minute, but what are the side effects? Are we spending too much time on the internet ? How
often do we have a real talk to our family? Are the teenagers being part of cyber bullying ? . To
find the answer lets develop information about it.

- Despite of the advantages of high technology, I prefer to have real talk with my own
family whenever I have the chance , given that with our jobs we can barely see whats
happening between us
- The negative effect of technology is the social networks, they are used by many people
but most teenagers do not know how to manage the information they upload.
Recently I saw an experiment where a person on facebook create a fake profile and
managed to chat with some teenagers and eventually he made an appointment with
this teenagers and as a result this guy meet them. And as you could imagine they don’t
realize what’s happening , how dangerous could be to accept that appointment. This
guy could have been an organ trafficant or anything else. For example in Bolivia every
day 8 children disappear and only 2of them are found.
- A Positive aspect about technology I saw recently was that in an interview, where a
blind person managed to end a video game thanks to susurround technology, tha
game was the legend of Zelda ,it happen in japan. Some images showed that amazing
experience for this young man, the speakers were by his side obviously left and right
- If someone asks me if technology is a blessing or a curse, I would say it’s both. For
example the dynamite was meant to be used In mines to explode rock, but in the
second world war was used for other purposes. Facebook was meant to be used to
share information with our friends, now kidnappers used it to find their victims. In my
opinion we must use technology property and be aware of its consequences further.

- Also we can’t know certainly if some of our beloved ones are part of cyber bullying.
