Dear Sir,

We are a Company situated in the Hassan Abdal Industrial Estate and engaged in the
manufacturing of various kinds of glass products. The core of our Glass Manufacturing Plant is a
Glass Furnace which requires constant supply of raw material and gas and electricity, and cannot
be shut down for more than 24 hours otherwise the residual raw material inside it crystalizes, the
mechanical components fuse and if re-start fails the entire furnace is required to be replaced. The
Glass Furnace currently installed in our Plant is worth over Rs.250 Million with expected
production life of another 5 years. If the Plant is shut down and the furnace required to be
replaced it will cost the Company at least Rs.300 Million, excluding revenue losses, and
production loss for 3-6 months depending on availability of compatible furnace and equipment
and import and commissioning time-lines. It may also be noted that we employ a workforce of
over 500 whose livelihood is directly connected with regular operation of the Plant.

Due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak, the prevailing epidemic and orders of the Government,
supply-chain throughout the Country has been severely affected. In our case, production has
dropped by 80% due to shortage of labour and payments due from various parties have been
delay, deferred or outright refused. These circumstances are expected to prevail for at least
another 6-8 weeks and normalcy to return after 3 months provided the epidemic does not
intensify.

Now, as one month is ending and another starting, we are naturally required to make thousands
of payments, including to our employees, suppliers, vendors, creditors and utility Companies
such as SNGPL. The Company is facing cash-flow shortage and as responsible private
employers believes and considers it its utmost responsibility to prioritize the well-being of our
employees and their families. Please note that our employees earn between Rs.17,000 to 25,000/-
per month and are in dire need of support from the Company and are seeking security and
assurances regarding their employment.

We are in the process of applying to the Minister of Industries for exemption and relaxation in
terms that a certain percentage of our employees be permitted to work on rotation basis while the
Company shall provide them with a secure and healthy working environment with boarding and
lodging facilities.

Through this letter we seek your support in our sincere endeavor for the well-being, security and
support of our hundreds of employees and hereby request you to kindly consider converting our
due Bill of Rs.______ into 6 monthly installments.

Please appreciate that the Company needs to manage its cash-flows and finances, save its
valuable assets from irreparable losses and the interests of hundreds of employees and other
parties who are directly concerned with continuous operation of the Plant albeit at limited
capacity.

We hope that SNGPL will understand the significance of keeping the Glass Furnace operative
and prioritizing the interests of employees/labour. We do not wish to face a situation where the
furnace is required to be replaced and the employees after returning from weeks of lock-down
have no Plant to work at. This would undoubtedly perpetuate sufferings of the poorest class of
our society and ultimately shift the burden upon the Government to now support the un-
employed. And the evils which poverty introduces into the society can also be not ignored.
SNGPL here may further appreciate that if there is no operative furnace/Plant, the Company’s
consumption of natural gas shall also be stopped translating into loss of sales and revenue to
SNGPL and ultimately the Government.

We expect SNGPL to have reasonable foresight and the grace to accommodate genuine concerns
and demands of Industries such as our Company who seek no profit or gain in this unfortunate
and uncertain period but simply to prudently manage its affairs in such manner as to support its
poor employees for as long as it can.

Sincerely,

Chief Executive Officer
