Condition Assessment:

1) Preliminary Inspection of TG Bay Roof & CT completed by NCCBM from 04.05.16 to 06.05.16.

a) TG Bay Roof:
 NCCBM proposed that further diagnose of TG bay Roof will be carried out with NDT equipment
after completion of balance water proofing treatment work from Axis 7 to 23.
 TG Roof water proofing work completed by M/s ERA from Axis 1 to 7.
 Balance water proofing work from Axis 7 to 23 awarded vide PO NO: 5500026597 to M/s Riya
Constructions. Schedule Completion date is 22.01.2018.

b) Based on preliminary inspection, R&D assignment for condition assessment as suggested by

NCCBM for CT 1A, 1B, 2A & 2B awarded vide PO 4000177749. Site investigations completed
by NCCBM in July’17. Report of investigation expected by 15 thOct’17.

2) Preliminary inspection of Stage-I RCC structures of TG Deck & Columns, Boiler Area, CHP area,
CWPH, Forebay, AWRS, FOPH/ LDO, MWPH, RWRPH, Acid Handling Bldg, DM Plant, Mill Fdns,
PA,FD,ID fdns, completed in Sept 2016 by NCCBM.

 In principle & Technical approval initiated based on the Preliminary inspection report to
undertake further detail investigation as suggested by NCCBM for RCC structures of TG Deck
& Boiler area. File received at Mouda with observations from OS to carryout core extraction of
25mm dia of length 50mm. Discussed with NCCBM for this limitation of core extraction.

3) Steel Structures & RCC foundations of Stage-I CHP area, Boiler area, school building and School
auditorium completed in December 2016 by CSIR-SERC.

 CSIR-SERC submitted the proposal to carry out detail investigation of school building and
school auditorium.
 Based on the visual inspection, CSIR-SERC Chennai submitted preliminary inspection report.
To improve the condition of structures, CSIR-SERC suggested/ recommended to take
preventive maintenance work.
Proposal initiated by O&M-Civil:
1) TG roof balance water proofing treatment work - work is been executed by CCD.
2) Generator transformer yard chain link fencing of u#1 & 2 - work executed by CCD
3) Left out glassess in TG hall - under Offloading Package of ERA
4) Cladding work in MPH - under Offloading Package of ERA
5) Attending the defects observed in Bunker Structures of
Unit#1 & 2, stage-I – under tendering stage / CCD

6) Providing drainage system in cable vault floor of u#1 & 2 - under Awarding stage

7) Providing, fixing/ replacement of damaged cladding sheets

in mph & chp area of u#1 & 2 stage-I, Oil Drum Shed,
Food waste processing shed, RO plant sheeting work,
Parking shed - under Tech Vett in FES
8) Repairing & maintenance contract of seepage control,
water proofing, grouting & strengthening of RCC structures - under Awarding stage
9) Providing Paving, & various approach roads in swyd-I area - under review with Maint Dept
10)In-principle & Technical approval to undertake the work for - under Tech Vett in FES
improving performance of CT
11)Horticulture work in Plant Area - under tendering stage
