Using a power line as the transmission medium,

the PLC Telecommunications world requires
particular interfacing functions between
telecommunications equipment (power line carrier
equipment) and high-voltage components such as
the line, line trap circuits and coupling capacitors.

AREVA has designed the LMU 5000 coupling

device specifically for this type of application,
guaranteeing the ultimate quality in terms of
reliability and safety.

Without any additional accessories, the LMU 5000

fulfils the modularity of the various configurations
encountered in the power line technique (phase
earth coupling, phase-phase coupling, inter-circuit
coupling).

This protection device is used during the unit
adjustment (commissioning) or testing (maintenance).
For safety reasons, the grounding switch is coupled to
the door control so that whenever the LMU door is
opened a preliminary grounding process is initiated.
