Background

Arts and Architecture (1945): 20 year-long Case Study House Programme

The aim was to give some direction to the thinking on the shape and form of post war living by adopting practical war-born techniques &
materials best suited to the expression of human’s life in the modern world. The results would promote modern yet replicable prototype
houses, demonstrating how contemporary design could benefit the construction of a new post-war California.
