ENGLISH DEBATE DEKAN CUP

1. There are two teams (affirmative/government and negative/opposition)

and each team consisting of three speakers per debate session
2. The members of each team who are allowed to join the competition must
be fixed before the competition start
3. The team that don’t attend the competition will be considered as a
walkover
4. There will be three adjudicators and one time keeper
5. The format of this debate is American Parliamentary Debate
6. No offensive, personal, or defamatory expressions are accepted
7. Each speaker has 3 minutes to deliver the arguments, except the reply
speaker just has 1 minutes to overview the debate.
8. No interaction between participants and audience
9. Participants are allowed to bring the prepared arguments or write any
additional arguments during the debate session
10. The adjudicator’s final decision can’t be refused
