o Assisted a Senior Capstone Course and Chem. 112 class directly on major
and minor projects through their semester.
o Worked closely with the professors to assess assignments for the class, as
well as advised on assignment sheets and rubrics.
o Brainstormed with students one-on-one and in groups to address academic
concerns.

Research Assistant (May 2018- August 2018)

o Worked closely with the Director of the Writing Center as well as the
Director of the Center for Writing Excellence on various projects including:
poster and web-site designs, published works, messaging and emails to
university faculty and staff.
o Quantified and qualified data for research conducted on numerous
university campuses, including Elon, using Qualtrics.
o Created; an itinerary for a national writing conference held in Indiana 2018,

Undergraduate Research- Young Adult Fiction (August 2018 - December 2018)

o Worked within a research group of two other undergraduates focusing on
works in the genre of Young Adult Fiction. Completed a research essay
regarding traumatic events, both mental and physical, that are now present
in YA fiction novels.

Creative Writing Teacher (September 2017- May 2018)

o Taught a weekly creative writing course for 25 sixth graders at Turrentine
Middle School in Burlington, NC.
o Attended a weekly course led by Professor Cassie Kircher that developed
our skills in teaching as well as cultivated ideas we could implement in our
classrooms.
o Created weekly lesson plans involving brainstorming and writing skills and
helped students produce a classroom book at the end of the year.
