Q20 Areas that require the student teacher's corrective action.

ST should work on time management throughout the block. It is difficult when on block scheduling to let the urgency of getting through
things fall to the side but when we plan we are essentially planning for two classes so it is imperative to get through the agenda and
needed assignments. I also recommend ST to work on keeping students actively engaged during instruction. Remember your
audience. Students are 11-12 years old and need material that relates to them and spoken in a way they understand. This is difficult
and takes time to learn and understand your student population. It is hard to do during a couple week period. Staying on top of things
and planning ahead will help with pacing and time management with lessons. Having lessons done ahead of time will also help with
this.

Q21 Areas in which the student teacher has demonstrated excellence.

ST has done a wonderful job establishing a relationship with the students. He knows and calls them all by name. He has done well
with ensuring that lessons are SOL aligned and uses district resources to develop lessons. ST regularly uses probing questions and
challenges students to think outside of the box while also engaging prior knowledge.
