Good evening ladies and gentleman, to Kuya Rhene and Ate Amor, to the Abraham and

Dimacali family, relatives, friends and visitors from all over Bohol, the Philippines and the world,
to that sexy woman at the back whom I call my mother welcome and thank you all for being
here to celebrate Kuya Rhene and Ate Amor’s very special day. Ate, you look even more
gorgeous today and Kuya, you have never looked more handsome.

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Khem and I am one of the bridesmaids and a
close friend to the bride and her family and to those of you who do know me, I just wanna say
Hello!

The first time I met Ate Amor was in facebook 2 years ago, I think I was the first one to send a
friend request and a message if my memory serves me right. We are two people who instantly
fell comfortable with each other, I mean the first day that we started chatting, she was already
a big sister type of friend to me and we already had a very long conversation that range from
work to dating to relationships to weddings and to anything and everything that we could speak
of under the sun. Simply, I felt like I had an Ate in every sense of the word, since I am the
eldest child in my own family.

Now Ate Amor may seem to look “Maldita” as how Kuya Rhene would often describe her face, I
may at some time even had second thoughts on befriending her because of that idea as well,
so I never imagined that I would be standing here two years later watching the woman most
like a sister to me remarry not just the man of her dreams, but the man of every waking day of
her life.

Ate, I want you to know that ever since you told me that I should give a speech today in this
most lovely day in your life, I had everyday thinking of what I am going to say, how should I
say it what advices should I give, if I can do it if I could ever give justice to this responsibility
and privilege that you have set upon my shoulders, but I want you to know that I am very
honored because then I know that you really value our friendship and sisterhood. Ate, there
really aren’t words to define the kind of friend you have been to me. There are also no words to
describe how happy I am for you and Kuya Rhene today.

Ate, I am very happy to be your friend. You are so generous, caring, and easy and comfortable
to be with. You have a heart of gold and you really put your family first above anything else.
You put thought, effort and dedication into everything that you do, might it be cooking dinner
for your Babeg, or taking care of the elderlies in your nursing home, or even in shopping and
packing Christmas gifts for your family and friends. You are such a selfless person that even
though you have a grand wedding to think and plan of, you couldn’t just stop thinking about
your gifts and “pasalubongs” for the people here in Bohol. And I know you will have that same
zeal and passion in your role as wife and a mother soon hopefully.

Kuya, I can’t thank you enough for making Ate so happy. You are smart, compassionate and
loyal and you ride with whatever silly things that Ate does, like vlogging her ala-Miss Universe
walk during the prenup makeup session, doing silly and cute videos in the car, posing
boomerangs for her and more. From what I have seen and heard, you are such a wonderful
husband, you make sure that Ate knows you love her and you always assure her that she is
beautiful. Moreover you make sure that she is always taken care of, from sweet surprises of
flowers during valentines and birthdays and anniversaries, to self-made, home-based foot spas
and facials to making sure she never ran out of Kate Spade or any designer bags for that
matter. For being patient with her when she is having her “couch-sessions” which I think
almost, always happens. To making an effort to see and to talk with each other when you are
in different time zones or when you have different hours for work. You two are one of the
cutest and sweetest couple that I have met, aside from this other motocross couple at the back
who is tying the knot in January. And it is with comfort knowing Ate Amor will always have you
by her side. You are everything and more that I could have hoped for, for Ate. And being the
hopeless romantic that I am all I could say is “SANA ALL”

Ate, all of our plans have finally set in motion, we have planned this wedding for how long? I
couldn’t even remember when we started planning, to gown designs, to entourage gowns, to
suppliers, to souvenirs and to everything, we go to sleep and wake up to thoughts and chat
about the wedding, our inbox is so full of screenshots and ideas, to swatches and designs that
it takes hours to backread on specific details that we want. I have nothing left to say except
Best Wishes and Congratulations with your adventure buddy, your bestfriend and your
husband. Kuya, you are a very lucky man, now you have today and forever to put up with her
quirks, her outbursts, her funny moments and everything that is to love about ate. Before this
moment you have been many things to each other- acquaintance, friend, companion, lover,
cooks, food buddies, travel partners. You have laughed, cried, and your love has matured and
has become stronger as a result of one another. Today is not only a celebration of where you
are now and the road ahead, but all the pitfalls, the uturns, the rocky and smooth-sailing paths
that have brought you here.

According to google, I should now offer you both some marriage advice, I really don’t feel
qualified for that since I am single and has least relationship experience, so instead I’ll borrow
some words from someone else, who knows better and I hope you take this into your marriage.

Love isn’t perfect, it isn’t a fairy-tale or a story book. Love doesn’t always come easy. Love is
overcoming obstacles, facing challenges, fighting to be together, holding on and never letting
go. Love is about waking up every morning and choosing to love the person next to you, and
going to bed at night still choosing the person you are with. I hope whenever things would go
awry between you two, you would sit down and look back to this moment you loved each other
the least and the most. Separately you two are special, remarkable people, but together you
are complete. As you sit side by side through this roller coaster of life, remember to scream
from the peaks, hold hands through the dips, laugh through the loop and enjoy every twist and
turn.

I love you both so much. Cheers to new life, new love and everything in between. May your
love be like the wind, strong enough to move the clouds, soft enough to never hurt, but always
never ending, so here’s to love, laughter and happily ever after!
