Explanation
Visa is a person's admission document to a country. A visa is a proof of “allow
visit” given to a country's inhabitants, if it enters another country's territory requiring entry
permission. Can be a visa sticker that can be applied at the embassy of the country to be
visited or stamped in a passport in a particular country. Visa Visitors to Indonesia must obtain
a visa from one of the Indonesian diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa
exempt countries. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months as well as a valid
return ticket. Passport with validity of more than 3 months can be accepted in special cases or
business travel. The immigration officer at the port of entry may ask the passenger to produce
any necessary documents. There are many types of visa in Indonesia, such as :
1. Relatives Permits
This visa is needed for someone has family in the other country. If you want to visit
them, you are required to apply for this visa first. Maximum time can be proposed
usually 3 months. And your family statement will be responsible for your stay in that
country.
2. Tourist Visa
This visa is the most popular visa among the other kind of visa. This visa is used for
someone who is like to travellin to another country. With this tourist can be allowed
go into the destination country.
3. Visa on Arrival
Otherwise with visa made long before the trip, Visa On Arrival can be made on the
spot when you enter the territory of a country. Whether it is by airport, seaport or on
foot entering the country border. This visa can be obtained if both countries have a
good relationship,
4. Diplomatic Visa
This visa is intended for diplomats. People working within a period of time at a
representative agency of the country. Or just temporary diplomatic visit visa. For
example during an official visit or work visit. The process of making fairly easy
because there is a special path between countries.
5. Work Visa
On this type of visa, the holder is allowed to work as an employee of a company in
the destination country. The work visa itself is many more. Temporary work, Semi-
permanent or permanent. Depending on the length of the job, this work visa will be
changed to a residence permit, given the time period of work that is sometimes up to
years. This work visa can also be a gateway to a permanent residence permit. Or
Permanent Resident (PR). On another occasion the work visa permit is limited to the
length of the employment contract and should not be extended. For example in the
case of most migrant workers who work abroad. They are after the contract has to go
home first before applying for the next work visa.

B. Opinion
As we know that the development of tourism in Indonesia still less than other
country especially from Singapore and Malaysia. It is cause from many things such as Visa.
As we know, Visa is important for people who want to go to another country. Every country
needs Visa for the requirement to enter country, because Visa is a permission to enter the
country. We know that the Indonesia's tourism still less competitive that Singapore and
Malaysia even though Indonesia has many destination which is wonderful. Many choice to go
travel Indonesia, such as: Mount Bromo, Bali, Labuan Bajo, Raja Ampat, and many more. If i
become Joko Widodo's monetary advisor, i have advice for visa. Here is my advice:

1. Indonesia must make more country to become the list of Visa On Arrival. Because the
country which is on the list of Visa On Arrival will be easier to apply Visa. Visa On Arrival
usually uses to travel. I think if applying Visa On Arrival is easier, it will be made tourist
want to come to Indonesia. Because in my opinion, if applying visa on arrival complicated, it
will be made tourists are lazy to applying.

2. Make sure to every people who manage applying visa, work right and fast, include people
in Embassy of Indonesia in another country. Everything about the rule of applying visa will
be useless if people who manage dont work well.
