2. Problem Analysis
Every year, ICT Application for Chemistry Teaching and Learning courses are delivered
with a project based learning model which every student should collect the results of
work in every meeting in the form of Ms. Word, Ms. Power point, Ms. Excel, or SPSS. As a
final project, students were required to individually develop multimedia learning using
Ms. Power point with Macro facilities. In the 2017/2018 academic year, all students had
successfully graduated from this course in the first attempt. However, some aspects of
student skills still need to be improved, for example the design of the multimedia
learning which is still monotonous, as well as relevant concepts that must be included in
the final project that are still too widespread.

3. Solution
Things that could still be improved are related to the accuracy and creativity of students
when working on the project. Many of the weekly assignments from students still did
not show the expected results, and there were still frequent small errors that could be
corrected. Whereas in the final project, some buttons on multimedia learning also could
not operate well. This could be corrected through the efforts of lecturers and students,
i.e.

 demonstrating examples slowly, so students are able to follow the steps of the
lecturer appropriately
 providing guidance whenever students encounter difficulties while working on
assignments/ projects.
 providing consultation time outside of class hours for students who need special
guidance for the final project
 providing strict material restrictions that become the content of the final project
work

b. Problem Analysis
The developments in one year after improvements were implemented yielded very
significant results, where the results of assignments and projects of students showed
pleasant improvements. The students no longer merely copied-pasted material when
writing content for the final project. Furthermore, students were able to concoct
concepts in reading material that is referred to as points that were easier to understand.
The students’ learning multimedia had also been largely equipped with relevant videos.
The designs produced were also more creative and orderly.

c. Solution
Some improvements that can still be done for the coming year, including:

 continue to provide guidance every time the tasks / projects

 improving the quality of student projects whose agreements can be discussed with
lecturers and students in the class
