Parameter Number of Percentage

persons
Number of students taking this subject 27 100%
Number of students who gain “A” mark 23 85.2%
Number of students who gain “B” mark 1 3.7%
Number of students who gain “C” mark 0 0
Number of students who failed the course (D & E) 3 11.1%
Number of students who pass at first attempt 24 88.9%
Number of students who must take remedial 0 0

2. Problem Analysis
This course is given through independent project assignments to students. Each student
is required to develop an experimental model to teach the chosen topic. In 2017/2018,
the weakness of most students was that they had not innovated from the experiments
that had been there before. In this academic year, 3 students were not able to pass in the
first attempt.

3. Solution
Although all of the students hade graduated from this course in their first attempt, but a
number of things still need to be improved, especially regarding the affirmation of
project assignments to students, including:
 requiring students to make modifications to the previous experiments that they
adopted, not merely duplicate
 providing guidelines for making student worksheets that are systematic and correct
 providing provisions for students to demonstrate in front of an audience
 requiring students to upload the results of the experimental video to the YouTube
channel so that the benefits provided are more vast
 providing consultation time outside lecture hours

Number of students who failed the course (D & E) 1 3.6%

Number of students who must take remedial 0 0%

b. Problem Analysis
The improvements that had been made gaining very significant results. Although there
was one student who did not graduate in this school year because he was unable to
complete the final project, in general the results of the final project showed an
increasing quality. Minor modifications to the experiments carried out had also been
able to draw the attention. However, the steps for improvement are still ongoing,
considering that this subject was a relatively new course.

c. Solution
Several improvements planned to be implemented in the coming year, i.e.:

 guiding students about minimum video quality to be uploaded on YouTube,

including image and sound quality
 continuing to provide guidance outside of class hours for students who need to
share and advice related to project development
 challenging students to conduct experiments that have not been thought of by
others before
 introducing qualified student worksheets to improve skills or use certain learning
models as examples for students when creating student worksheet assignments
