Amish Friendship Bread - No Starter

added by Tara Grimshaw

I have always loved Amish Friendship Bread, but I moved to a new town where I
don't know many people. This was perfect for me so I didn't have to figure out
what to do with the other starters! I also did not like waiting the 10 or 30 days for
the other batches I have made. My 2 year old son is a natural in the kitchen and loves to help mommy
add ingredients and mix, so this is how we have our mommy/son bonding time. We use a Bundt pan or
muffin pan, as this has been described as more of a cake. It has been compared to a coffee cake. This
yields 2 loaves of bread and is sweet.
Cook time: 1 Hr Prep time: 20 Min

Ingredients
STARTER
3/4 c sugar
3/4 c milk
3/4 c all-purpose flour

1 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda

pudding mix, and (optional) nuts.

4. Add to the liquid mixture and stir well.

5. Pour into Bundt pan, muffin pan (makes approx 48) or 2 greased 9x5 in. loaf pans.

6. Bake at 325 for 1 hour for loaf or Bundt pan (30 minutes for muffins) or until cooked
thoroughly.
