Bulletin Board Explanation

For the bulletin board assignment, I created a tri-fold poster to present the classes vocabulary

words. The board was titled, “Grow Your Vocabulary” and each week I would rotate the words according

to the list provided by my cooperating teacher. I decided to do this so that it could be reused throughout

the entire school year, even after I am finished with my field placement. The leaves can be replaced with

snowflakes for the winter and flowers/green leaves and flowers for the spring. I focused on our class’s

vocabulary words because a lot of the students in my class are struggling readers. I thought that this

would be a creative way to reinforce the words to the students. This could also be done with focus weekly

sight words, trick words, or new words added to the word wall that week.
