Assalamualaikum Wr Wb

Good evening miss, I want to say thank you for watching my video presentation. It’s great for me to
present a presentation like this. Let me introduce myself. My name is AGUNG TRILAKSONO

And in this presentation, I want to present about TOELF VS IELTS

What is TOEFL?

• The TOEFL is standardized examination to asses the English language capability of non-native
speakers.

• TOEFL test English predominantly for academic purposes. It is measures the candidate’s
proficiency in applying English language skills at the university level, and assesses how
competently the candidate is able to combine skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking) to
accomplish academic responsibilities.

WHAT IS IELTS?

• The IELTS ( International English language Testing System) is one of two generally preferred tests
worldwide to evaluate the English language proficiency of non-native English speakers.

• It is an international standardized test, and therefore provides a global level certification to the
candidate.

• Candidates who appear for the IELTS are usually pursuing education, employment opportunities,
or want to migrate to countries where English is the predominant language.

The similarities between IELTS and TOEFL

1) Both the tests are based on reading, speaking, listening and writing skills and they’re evaluated on the
basis of standard scores in all the countries.
2) Both cost around $150-$250.
3) Both are used to evaluate the minimum level of English skills required to be a part of the institution or
a resident of the country.

The Differences Between TOEFL & IELTS

TOEFL

• In a speaking test, of the TOEFL you will have to answer 6 questions and the test lasts for 20
minutes. The first two questions will be familiar to you such as the computer will ask you about
your family or home town. Additionally, you will be given a passage or conversation and you
have to summarize it and state your opinion on it. And in the final question, you will have to
summarize a short conversation.

IELTS

• The IELTS speaking test is usually made up of 3 sections and it lasts for 15 minutes. However, in
IELTS you will be interviewed by the real person like you are having a conversation in real life

Well, thank you very much for watching my video presentation, and I apologize for the many errors in
the delivery
