Final Project Overview and Timeline
Final Project Overview
For the final project, create a PowerPoint® presentation in which you describe your personal
viewpoint, as well as three to four related principle issues, concerning one of the topics in
philosophy listed below:
When one selects a particular professional life, does that also give one a certain set of
moral obligations? Be specific to your potential career field in considering three to four
issues and three to four personal views.
What are the ethically legitimate functions of civil servants? Consider the decisions made
by medical professionals, social workers, firefighters, police officers, politicians, and
judges.
What does it mean to be a person? Are there certain rights and obligations afforded to
individual persons?
Does it matter whether there is an afterlife? Does the question of whether an afterlife
exists affect how we live now?
Cover a topic mentioned above, as well as three to four principle issues within your
topic.
Develop your personal philosophy concerning the topic you chose.
Cite, according to APA style guidelines, at least three philosophers mentioned in
Philosophy: The Power of Ideas.
Include speaker’s notes that add to the presentation and, therefore, are not a replica
of the PowerPoint® slides.
