viewpoint, as well as three to four related principle issues, concerning one of the topics in
philosophy listed below:

 When one selects a particular professional life, does that also give one a certain set of
moral obligations? Be specific to your potential career field in considering three to four
issues and three to four personal views.

 Could the continuing advancement of technology create unforeseen ethical concerns?

What might they be?

 Is equal opportunity a philosophical possibility?

 What are the ethically legitimate functions of civil servants? Consider the decisions made
by medical professionals, social workers, firefighters, police officers, politicians, and
judges.

 Should there be a set of uniform moral standards?

 What does it mean to be a person? Are there certain rights and obligations afforded to
individual persons?

 What is the purpose of existence?

 What can be known?

 Does it matter whether there is an afterlife? Does the question of whether an afterlife
exists affect how we live now?

 Develop your own philosophical question and answer it.

 Develop your own moral imperative and justify it.

Complete the following requirements in your presentation:

 Cover a topic mentioned above, as well as three to four principle issues within your
topic.
 Develop your personal philosophy concerning the topic you chose.
