IV. Discussion
● The discussion will focus on the three main parts of a term paper namely:
Introduction, body, and conclusion.
1. The Introduction
The introduction answers three important questions:
A. What is this?
B. Why am I reading this?
C. What do you want me to do?
2. The Body
At this point in your paper, you will be relying a lot more
your outline. However, it is important to remember that
your outline is not meant to restrict you. It is just a guide
to help keep you on track. You may notice that your
paper evolves a little bit more from your outline. That’s
fine. Just remember to focus on your thesis and your
Major points.
3. The Conclusion
In the conclusion, mention your thesis statement, but
make sure to reword it. Also, provide a brief summary
of your major points. You may also discuss why you
think your topic may benefit from further research,
especially if your findings are inconclusive.
4. Reference List
Don’t forget to add a completed reference list at the
end.
V. Assessment
Short Evaluation
In this short assessment, the learners will assess as to whether or not the
introduction has served its purpose. They will do this orally by stating the
sentences/phrases found in the introduction that indicate 1) the context
2) the importance of the main idea and 3) the thesis statement.

• Do not forget to upload your output in your group’s Google Drive folder.
