Ministry began on November 30,
1999, which was birth out of a
bond for a young man that made a
wrong choice in life.
Our Vision –It hasn’t changed but
security has and won’t allow us to
go into the Chapels. So we
continue to do one on one to God

NOVEMBER…17 YEARS IN PRISON MINISTRY…
This Newsletter is for November and December 2016. Yes it’s hard to
believe that we have been doing prison ministry for 17 years, WOW! We are
thankful to God for allowing us to do this and we thank you for sending us.
We will continue serving the Lord in Prison Ministry as long as God provides
the way for us.
Thanksgiving Day was a great day to be thankful for life! We celebrated by
going to Bonanza and really enjoyed ourselves.
We are looking forward to going to see family and friends for Christmas Time
and will be heading to Delaware the 4th week of December. Pray for us for
safe traveling.
PRISON RESTENCING FOR JUVENILE LIFERS RETRO JANUARY 25, 2016.
We are still waiting to hear the outcome of three men we see; one from
Montgomery County, one from Lebanon County and one from York County.
We continue to pray for them. Larry M. goes December 19th for his
resentencing hearing. I had the date wrong in our last newsletter. We are
planning to go to his hearing, please keep us in your prayers.
I talked with an inmate yesterday and he is waiting to hear when he goes for
resentencing. He didn’t want 35 to life and he won’t be doing a deal with the
DA and then DA came back with 75 to 100 years (*which is vindictive read
below). We talked about how some JV Lifers were settling between their
lawyer and the DA’s instead of going for resentencing before a Judge.
Currently the Judges are giving a better resentence to the inmates.
Attorneys want Clarification on Resentencing. The Allegheny County district
attorney’s office argues that under the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision
in Commonwealth v. Batts, a defendant must receive a maximum sentence of
life in prison for either first- or second-degree murder.
But others said the case is being misinterpreted. They hope that another
appeal to the state Supreme Court in the Batts case, to be argued
December 7, 2016 in Harrisburg, will provide clarity. “The law is far from
clear,” defense attorney Chris Rand Eyster said. “Batts says a term of years to
life is constitutional, but I don’t think it binds the court to impose that.”
In Allegheny County in recent weeks, one judge gave a defendant before him
13 to 26 years for first-degree murder. Another judge gave a defendant 20
years to life for second-degree murder. Allegheny County has 3 judges that are
doing the hearings. A lawyer filed a motion last week for relief from
prosecutorial vindictiveness (*not the inmate above). In it, he said the DA
offered a sentence of 35 years to life for an inmate. But when the defense
refused to take it, the lawyer said Deputy DA told him his office would appeal
“and try to keep the defendant in jail indefinitely,” he wrote. “Such conduct is, at
a minimum, unreasonable, and it undermines the integrity of the criminal justice
system.”

PASTOR TOM’S PREACHING CORNER
THE CHRISTMAS STORY
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and
they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God
with us. Matthew 1:23
What is the Christmas story all about? It's about how
Almighty God came to this earth in the form of flesh, and we
call Him Jesus. It's the story of a King who came to deliver people from their
sins. It's the story of a King who gave His life as a ransom for many.
It's a story of how this King took our sicknesses upon Himself as the Lamb of
God. It's a story of the King who came for the rich and the poor. It's the story
of how the Lord of Glory came in the flesh, so that every captive could be set
free.
Jesus didn't come to bring us a sermon. He is the Sermon. He didn't come
to bring us a message. He is the Message. He didn't come to bring us some
answers. He is the Answer. He's the Great I AM, not the Great I Was, or the
Great Used To Be.
Joy to the world, the Lord has come. Let earth receive her King. Let every
heart prepare Him room. Let heaven and nature sing. Let heaven and
nature sing. If you will call upon Him, He will help you.
Jesus has a Name that is higher than all your problems. He has a Name that
is higher than any circumstance, any heartache, or anything.
There is a Key that unlocks Heaven's Gates, and it is the Name of Jesus.
We no longer worship a Babe in a manger. We worship the Conquering King
and the Risen Lord. If you are in darkness, you need to know that He will be
a Lamp unto your feet, and a Light unto your path.
Who Is This Man Named Jesus?
The good news is this: Unto us a Savior has been born. He is no longer in a
manger. He is not in a tomb. He has already defeated death and has risen
from the grave.
Who is this Man named Jesus?
What does He stand for? He's my Savior, my Joy, and my Hope! He is the
Alpha and the Omega. He's the Beginning and the End. He wasn't just in the
beginning He is the Beginning!
Who is this Man named Jesus?
He's the Crutch I lean on, and the Shoulder I cry on. He's my Peace in the
middle of the storm. He's the Friend who sticketh closer than a brother.
When everyone else walks out of my life, He is the One who will never leave
me or forsake me.
Who is this Man named Jesus?
He is the Resurrection and the Life. In fact, He is The Way, The Truth, and
The Life. There is none like Him. He loves me, He will forgive me of all my
sins, and He will heal all my diseases. Sickness and demons are subject to
His Name!
Let Jesus rule and reign in your heart
every day!
