How we began – Jeremiah Prison
Ministry began on November 30,
1999, which was birth out of a bond
for a young man that made a wrong
choice in life.
Our Vision –It hasn’t changed but
security has and won’t allow us to
go into the Chapels. So we continue
to do one on one to God Be The
Glory!
115 men have been released in 18
years. We are ministering to 59
inmates in 4 states.

God Is In Control!

Tom’s journey to healing continues. I got a phone call on April 25 at 5:49 am;
around 12 am Tom fell at the rehab center trying to get out of bed. He thought
he could get up to go to the bathroom but he was dreaming and delirious and
fell on the left side of the floor, which this pulled on the Foley line but not out, it
was attached to the right side of the bed. The staff got him calmed down and
back in bed but between that time and 5 am he pulled out the PICC Line from
his left arm.
I then got another phone call around 9 am he went into severe delirium and
had to go to the ER. He was diagnosed with a UTI and was septic with a blood
infection. The ER doctor put him on 4 different types of IV antibiotics within a
couple of hours. He had a Cat Scan of his head and spine plus x-ray of his
chest. Thank God the spinal fusion was okay and on head issues.
He was admitted to the Chambersburg Hospital and the attending doctor
withheld his Parkinson’s medications and food for 36 hours. He was just on IV
antibiotics and saline and he slept for 36 hours. The more the IV antibiotics got
in him he became toxic this affected the Parkinson’s and he began having
uncontrollable upper and lower body movement called dyskinesia. He was alert
but at times confused. The infectious disease doctor changed one IV antibiotic
called Cefepime which helped some but didn’t resolve all the dyskinesia.

He went back to the rehab center on the evening of the 30 . On May 1 arrived

at 10:30 am to the rehab center and Tom was in delirium. May 2 and 3

were better days but on May 4 May 5 , May 6 Tom had the uncontrollable
upper and lower body movements by the late afternoon it would cease and he
would be exhausted and go sleep after dinner. I worked daily with Tom.
On Sunday the PA was messaged and contacted the rehab doctor and she felt
this is still coming from the IV Zosyn in his system. It was a rough week for
Tom; it was so hard to watch Tom go through this. This was neurotoxicity and
it affected the Parkinson’s. I had to fight for Tom’s health with medical to get
them to understand this was an allergic reaction from the IV Antibiotic.
Tom is having a better week and progressing in OT and PT. He was very tired
for a couple of day. He is ambulating sitting on the edge of the bed and to the
wheelchair using a walker. He is walking in PT with a walker gaining his
confidence. He does leg and arm exercises. He is determined to come home.
The exciting part of the week was he was able to get the Foley Cather out that
he had since Feb 19th and is able to go. Continue to pray he doesn’t get
another UTI.
I read the Bible and Pray daily with him and Tom prays for me. He is a
precious man of God.
We continue taking a sabbatical to go to the prisons at this time. Tom has to
heal mentally, physically and spiritually. We continue to ask for your prayers
and financial support to help us walk through this. We still have expenses to
take care of. We will continue sending out our newsletter and keep you
updated on Tom’s health. Please pray for mercy and healing for Tom.
I want to thank everyone that has emailed, called, sent cards, and visited Tom
with your love and support! I could not make it without you! I have to walk by
faith and not by sight. My heart breaks for him!

in all we do, that we remain cancer
free and healthy to do God’s work,
for our cars to be mechanically
sound.
You are an Extended Hand and a vital
part of this ministry. Together we are
making a difference with Jesus Christ,
taking life to a dark place! We go
because you send us. Thank You so
much!
We traveled 11,843 miles for ministry last

PASTOR TOM’S PREACHING CORNER
HE’S AN ON TIME GOD
2nd Corinthians 2:4 & 14 NKJV For out of much affliction
and anguish of heart I wrote to you, with many tears, not that
you should be grieved, but that you might know the love
which I have so abundantly for you. Now thanks be to God
who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the
fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
There is something inside us all that wants to be in charge of our
lives. We want to tell God how we want Him to do things. We want to
be in control and think we have everything figured out. When all your
plans finally come together and everything looks wonderful the bottom
falls out.
You may not have any trouble today, but it will eventually find its
way to your house. Trouble is God’s way of developing your faith.
Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped
for and the evidence of things not seen.” God is in the process of
teaching you about faith. He never intends for you to get so comfort-
able that you don’t have to pray anymore.
When you give your life to the Lord you can bet you are going
somewhere. He is taking you from glory to glory. (2nd Corinthians
3:18) You are on the road of faith.
The Bible says that your steps are ordered by God. (Psalm 37:23)
The reason things keep changing is because He is taking you
somewhere. He is the Potter and we are the clay. ( Isaiah 64:8)
In Hebrews 11:6 it says that without faith it is impossible to
please God. God allows storms to strengthen us and teach us about
faith in Him. Your problems do not move God, but your prayers do.
Jesus said, “Ask anything in My name and I will do it for you.”
(John 14:13) He wants us to quit looking to people for answers and
look to Him. We pray over everything and worry over nothing. God
wants you to be totally dependent upon Him!
Philippians 4:19 says, that He meets all my needs according to
His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
When you pray it can seem that God never shows up early.
He teaches us about faith, by making us wait. God will allow you to
stand on the edge of a cliff and pull you back to safety just before you
fall.
God doesn’t work by formulas; we must have faith in Him and
not methods. God has a lot of different ways to bless and help you.
Don’t put God in a box!
Don’t be discouraged about your future, you are going
somewhere. God has a plan and you are not going to stay where
you are. Don’t judge your future by where you are today. God is
teaching you to walk by faith not by sight. (2nd Corinthians 5:7)
Remember Your Best Days Are Still Ahead!
When searching Tom’s messages this one fit our journey. It’s not been an
easy journey to watch your loved one suffer. But I must walk by faith and not
by sight. I have cried many tears and prayed many prayers during this
journey. I must trust the Lord and know God will get us through this.
