To go to a section, press CTRL + F and type in -SECTIONHERE-, where you put

the section you want to go to in place of "SECTIONHERE".
Example: If I wanted to go to Chapter Two, I would type "-Chapter Two-".

To go to a story mode duel (mandatory duels only), press CTRL + F and type in
the name of the duelist's deck. Note that some duelists appear more than once.
Example: If I wanted to find Dark Signer Carly, I would type "Bird of
Fortune".

= II. -Introduction-
==============================

Hello to you, dear reader. The purpose of this guide is to address any issues
or questions you may have had while mucking through this game. I am pretty
terrible at introductions, so having said that, let us proceed to the good
stuff.

A note, first. I will format duels like so:

______________________________
|
| DUELIST NAME - DECK NAME
|
|
| MONSTERS LEVEL 7+ (#)
|
| MONSTERS LEVEL 5-6 (#)
|
| MONSTERS LEVEL 1-4 (#)
|
| SPELLS (#)
|
| TRAPS (#)
|
| EXTRA DECK (#)
|______________________________
|
| DUEL NOTES
|______________________________

I will omit card counts that are zero (for example, if a duelist's amount of
monsters level 7+ is zero, I will not put that section in the duel analysis).
So get used to it.

= III. -Walkthrough-
==============================
------------------------------
-Chapter One-
------------------------------

Before we delve into the world of Yu-Gi-Oh!, first choose your country,
province/state, gender, and name. For bonus lol points, name yourself Crow. I
am not liable for any damage this may cause to the universe as a result.

Jokes aside (don't actually name yourself Crow >_>), select Story Mode on the
new screen. Watch the mysterious scenes. If you've kept up with the anime,
you'll know what's going on. If you haven't, be glad that you'll have a more
suspenseful game.

Select the appropriate option when given the choice. If you're new to the
Yu-Gi-Oh! card game, haven't played in a while, or simply want to brush up on
your skills, choose Yes. I will cover World Championship Mode in a later
section, but you are free to do as the game suggests and take a look around
there.

After that's done, you will see another chunk of exposition. Once Seria takes
you to your room as per our new friend Sayer's orders, she will give you the
starter deck - "Supplied Deck". Note that you cannot edit this deck for the
duration of the chapter. You have two roommates, Okita and Liquid, who will
introduce themselves to you and cleverly reveal your location. Once they
finish talking, you will gain control of yourself. The gyrating green thing to
the right is a Save Point. You should make use of it. Save whenever possible;
it saves you from a ton of aggravation.

At this point, you can talk to Okita to duel him. Do so. He mentions something
about "psychics" before the duel initiates. Didn't Sayer say something about
psychic powers? Hmm.

| You should have no difficulties in defeating this guy. Should you

| game. Regardless of the outcome, you should take advantage of this duel as
| practice.
|______________________________

Liquid steps up to challenge you, but Sayer interrupts our little duel party.
He goes with the "psychic duelist" bit again, whatever that is, and tells you
about the Fortune Cup tournament and Sector Security. He calls in a new
character, apparently named Akiza Izinski. Something tells me she's going to
be a major plot point. Anyways, Sayer will tell you about your mission and
leave. You'll regain control. Save if you wish and talk to Liquid when you
want to proceed.

You'll automatically be teleported to a new area. Liquid tells you that you're
not allowed in through the front of the stadium. Regardless of his sage
advice, you just have to check it out for yourself to make sure, so head on
north. Talk to the security guy with the helmet guarding the gate. He'll
confirm Liquid's insight. There's no way in through here, so go back.

Okita and Liquid seem to have disappeared, but they're actually just waiting a
bit farther south, on the inside of the curve. Talking to either will trigger
an event. Here, you'll have to move the yellow boxes around until you can
proceed. Press A in front of a box to push it forward.

Go up a bit and push the leftmost box you can reach one space to the left.
Turn around and head back up, and push that box up two spaces. Head to the far
left and push the leftmost box down one space. Push the lone box sticking out
to the right one space. Push the box that was below that down two spaces. Push
the box to your left one space, then push the box that was below that down one
space. Push the box to your right into the slot, and push the box below you
down to the wall. Exit through the bottom-left corridor.

Once you are in the new area, head south a bit and examine the pile of crates
for 600 DP. Woot! Head left to the Save Point and use it if you so desire. Now
examine the double doors to open them. Head inside.

There's nothing of interest in this room, so go to your right to the elevator.

Examine the door to open it and enter. You'll see a scene with Akiza and a new
character, Yusei Fudo. Yusei encourages Akiza to think for herself and other
cheesy stuff, then performs his signature Synchro Summon ritual thing. He then
defeats Akiza with Stardust Dragon. Wait, that's not good! That means our
mission failed!
Liquid makes another genius conclusion that is again confirmed, this time by
Okita. It seems that everyone in this game is a step behind, but maybe that's
just me. When our merry little trio tries to leave, Sayer and Akiza come in.
Some creepy, disturbed-looking guy named Lazar comes in and tells Akiza that
Director Goodwin wants to see her. Sayer doesn't like this, so Lazar tells
his cronies to get her. Unsurprisingly, you're left to fend off the enemy
while Sayer and Akiza go home. Meh.

|______________________________

Creepy guy Lazar decides to retreat for the time being, so Liquid and Okita
suggest that you go home. Before you can leave, another new character appears.
She's Carly Carmine, journalist! But before you can spill any beans about the
Arcadia Movement that you are apparently a part of (but know nothing about),
she runs off to the stadium to get the scoop on the large firey dragon in the
sky.

We get to see a scene in which yet another new character, Jack Atlas, loses a
Turbo Duel to our buddy Yusei. Congrats on winning the title of King of Turbo
Duels, Yusei! Wait, what's this? Flashback time?

What is this, anyways? How do you know Jack? And what's with the jank clothes?
Wait, Yusei too? Good friends? Is it just me, or am I missing something?

When the flashback ends, Rex Goodwin (remember Director Goodwin? That's this
guy) shows his face. He says something about the tournament and everything
going according to plan. Wait! Does that mean...this whole thing is a setup?

Back at the Arcadia Movement HQ, Akiza is in the pod thing that you were in
before. Seems Yusei got to her, but Sayer does some more mumbo-jumbo and
comforts her.

The next day, you wake up and Liquid takes the time to tell you what you did
yesterday. Okita starts jabbering about some training, so I guess that's where
we're headed next. Save if you wish, then exit the room.

Go right to a junction, then right again. Ignore the door, as you can't go
in yet, and check the upper right corner of the hallway for 600 DP. Go back to
the intersection and head down. When you are outside, head west and enter
through the glass doors. There is a Save Point to your right. There are two
people in the center of the stadium. Talk to either of them to initiate an
event.

Nino and Check will "train" you in Structure Duels and Duel Puzzles,
respectively. You have to win three times in both of their classes to advance.
I'll begin with Nino, but you're free to choose Duel Puzzles first if that's
your thing (not like it makes any difference whatsoever).

What Nino tells you is sort of misleading. She wants you to win against her
with three different Structure Decks in order to pass. Not a problem, right?
Here's a list of all 19, along with a short summary of each.

----------------------------------------
Deck Name Deck Focus
----------------------------------------

Dragon's Roar General Dragon deck. It has cards from the Red-Eyes and
Armed Dragon archetypes. The featured card is Red-Eyes
Darkness Dragon.

Zombie Madness General Zombie deck. Slightly more well-rounded than

Dragon's Roar. The featured card is Vampire Genesis.

Blaze of Destruction Burn-focused FIRE deck. More defensive than the

previous decks, with emphasis on Effect Damage. The
featured card is Infernal Flame Emperor.

Fury from the Deep Beatdown-focused WATER deck. With support from "A
Legendary Ocean", this deck tries to limit your
opponent's options while giving you powerful monsters.
The featured card is Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus.
Warrior's Triumph Toolbox Warrior deck. This deck provides monsters with
many different effects for various situations. There is
also a vague Equip Spell theme, with monsters like
Gearfried the Swordmaster and Armed Samurai - Ben Kei.
The featured card is Gilford the Legend.

Spellcaster's Judgment General Spellcaster deck. It has cards from the Dark
Magician archetype (no Dark Magician Girl for you
fanboys though). There is also a vague focus on Chaos,
with a majority of LIGHT and DARK attribute
spellcasters and Chaos Sorceror. The featured card is
Dark Eradicator Warlock.

Invincible Fortress Rock bounce deck. Cards in this deck annoy your
opponent with tough defenses and the ability to bounce
their monsters back into their hand. The featured card
is Exxod, Master of the Guard.

Lord of the Storm General Winged Beast deck. It has cards from the Harpie
Lady archetype. There is also a vague focus on cards
that take advantage of the Spell & Trap Card Zones,
with cards like Swift Birdman Joe, Lady Ninja Yae, and
Sonic Shooter. The featured card is Simorgh, Bird of
Divinity.

Dinosaur's Rage General Dinosaur deck. Dinosaurs typically have large

Attack stats and offensive effects. The featured card
is Super Conductor Tyranno.

Machine Re-Volt Machine control deck. This deck consists largely of

cards from the Ancient Gear archetype, as well as the
infamous Gadget series. These cards allow you to
control the game and keep the advantage over your
opponent. The featured card is Ancient Gear Gadjiltron
Dragon.

Surge of Radiance Protection-based Fairy deck. Includes cards from the

Counter Fairy and Parshath archetypes. Counter Traps
are a main theme of this deck, alongside the
manipulation of Life Points for offense. The featured
card is Neo-Parshath, the Sky Paladin.

Curse of Darkness Beatdown DARK deck. This deck features cards with
atmospheric Attack scores, but negative side effects to
balance it out. Taking advantage of this is the
secondary Effect Damage theme, with cards like
Ectoplasmer to damage your opponent even further by
making use of your out-of-commission beatsticks. The
featured card is Diabolos, King of the Abyss.

Rise of the Dragon Dragon swarm deck. This deck focuses on Special
Lords Summoning high-level Dragon monsters quickly, allowing
you to rapidly overwhelm your opponent. The featured
card is Felgrand Dragon.

The Dark Emperor Remove from Play deck. This deck utilizes the rarely
seen Removed from Play Zone to shut down opponent
strategies and boost the power of your own monsters.
The deck has cards from the Helios series, as well as
many of the Different Dimension cards. The featured
card is Caius the Shadow Monarch.

Zombie World Zombie World deck (wasn't that obvious?). With the
power of "Zombie World", this deck gives you the
ability to swarm your opponent with their own monsters
from the Graveyard. The featured card is Red-Eyes
Zombie Dragon.

Spellcaster's Command Spell counter deck. Most of the cards in this deck use
spell counters as a cost for their various effects -
drawing, Summoning, or destroying opponent cards. The
many powerful spell cards and "Magical Citadel of
Endymion" allows you to abuse spell counters to their
maximum potential. The featured card is Endymion, the
Master Magician.

Warrior's Strike Gemini/Warrior deck. This deck combines the versatility

of Warriors with the newly upgraded Gemini archetype.
The Warriors come with their usual array of powerful
Equip Spells, plus the new "Supervise" to take
advantage of your Gemini monsters. The featured card is
Phoenix Gearfried.

Machina Mayhem Machina deck. This deck introduces the recent Machina
archetype, with in various Machine support cards to
reinforce them. Familiar cards make a comeback here,
such as the Gadgets and the Cyber Dragon cards. The
featured card is Machina Fortress.

Starter Deck General deck. This deck is a great introduction to many

of Yu-Gi-Oh!'s gameplay mechanics. Notably, this deck
is the only Structure Deck to have Synchro Monsters,
one of which is also the featured card - Road Warrior.

----------------------------------------

Whew. That was rather long-winded. Anyways, I chose Warrior's Strike,

Spellcaster's Command, and Surge of Radiance. Whatever you choose is up to
you, but keep in mind that the three that you win with will be the first three
that you can purchase later. Also, they tend to get better as they get more
recent (Dragon's Roar is the oldest, and they're in order of release from
there, with Machina Mayhem being the newest).

Nino will choose randomly from the Structure Decks. Be aware that these duels
are more difficult than the previous ones you've had so far and may be hard to
win if you're not as experienced. Get your game on!

Once you've completed your Structure Duel training, talk to Check to begin a
Duel Puzzle marathon. You'll have to solve three of the five Duel Puzzles in
order to pass. Figure them out yourself if you want the challenge. Do recall
that you can look at all the cards, including face-down cards on your
opponent's side of the field, your opponent's hand, your and your opponent's
decks, etc.
For all the lazy people, you can find solutions here:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/978594/59177

Finally, we're done! But before you do anything else, SAVE. Or else.

Note that you can now Structure Duel freely with Nino or complete the other
Duel Puzzles. It's a good idea to win with all the other Structure Decks and
solve all the other Duel Puzzles, but it's by no means necessary. The two
aren't going anywhere anytime soon, so you can always come back to challenge
them whenever you have the need. You can't come back to this part of town for
a while after you finish this chapter, though, so keep that in mind.

Once you go back to the corridor where your room is, Sayer will appear and
stop you. He'll ask you to duel Akiza. This is one of the hardest duels in the
game, regardless of what anyone else tells you. You're stuck with your
Supplied Deck, while Akiza gets to use her custom deck, which is pretty
powerful at this point in the game.

|
| You're pretty much screwed over if she brings out Tytannial with Lonefire
| Blossom early in the game (this happened to me on both of my playthroughs
| x_x). Your deck does come with a number of ways you can counter her, such
| as Nightmare Wheel or the ever-handy Fissure. Akiza doesn't pose much of
| a threat otherwise. If you just can't win, keep in mind that nothing
| detrimental happens when you lose.
|______________________________

I always found it extremely disturbing that Akiza's winning face (a grin) is

accompanied by the phrase "Once again I have hurt someone in a duel." Seems
like we've got a telekinetically endowed sadist on our hands. Frightening, no?

Aaaanyways, back to the story. You wake up the next day, and Liquid reminds
you that we've got Duel Runner training. Okita will tell you where to go. Now,
leave the building.

Head on down, and you'll get to the World Map. Select "New Domino City". At
the upper right corner of the square, you'll see a turquoise-colored garbage
can. Examine it for 2000 DP. Score! Wait, we can't even use any of this money
yet. How sad.

Head east to the next area. Examine the first garbage can north of you to get
a Star Chip. More stuff that we can't use yet. Now, go all the way east to the
fence thing. Talk to the guy to start an event. The name's Kawasaki, it seems.
Liquid comes back from practice to give you another beyond obvious piece of
advice. Holla at Kawasaki when you're ready.

Hold A to accelerate. Steer with the D-Pad. Not much to it. You're supposed to
clear the course in three minutes or less. You should be able to finish in
at most half that time, even if you fall into the muck pit.

Yusei pops up out of nowhere and exclaims with surprise. Flashback time!

We've got two new guys this time around, Crow and Kalin. Seems like you, Jack,
Yusei, Crow, and Kalin were all buddy-buddy some time ago. End flashback.

Comrade Sayer takes a leaf out of Yusei's book and pops up, tells Yusei to
make like a tree and leave, and orders Liquid to take you back to HQ. I've got
to agree with Yusei's thoughts on this one.

Back at the ranch, you're in the psychic pod thing again, and...wait, what?
Brainwashing? Oh, you sly fox, you. You were tricking us all along! At least
they won't kill you yet. Time to drift off...into the next chapter! Woohoo!

One thing I never got about this scene is why Sayer is just mouthing off about
his evil plans while you're STILL CONSCIOUS, according to Seria.

------------------------------
-Chapter Two-
------------------------------
You awaken in a stranger's house, dressed in clothes that look vaguely
familiar. Oh hey, it's Crow. Wait, what? Oh, so we space-time-warped. Sure.

Crow starts running his mouth off about Securities, then realizes you haven't
been listening for the past five minutes and decides to unobtrusively tell you
who he is and where you are. Wow, a duel so quickly?

...Sike. This is where veterans of Stardust Accelerator ('09) will groan in

physical pain. We have to evade Securities AGAIN?

Crow gives you a "Securities Uniform" (where he got that I won't ask) and a
"Storage Facility Key". Go outside and east, up the bridge. Stop when you see
one of those yellow arrow things that tells you you can examine the spot. Do
so, and you'll acquire a "Wing SP". Head west into the next area.

Directly south of the building with the little girl standing in front is a
pile of crates and such. Examine it for 200 DP. There's nothing else to get
now that we can't snag later, so head back to the bridge. Crow is standing
just north of it. Put on your Securities Uniform (Crow will tell you how if
you can't figure it out). Talk to Crow when you're done changing in broad
daylight, and he'll tell you to infiltrate the Security Building while he
makes a distraction.

When you enter the area with the entrance to the Security Building, there is a
Save Point to your left. Use it if you want, then head towards the entrances.
You can't get in yet, so go to the right of the doors and examine the control
panel thing. This will open the doors. Enter.

First, if you mess up, the guards will notice you and kick you back to the
entrance. Second, make use of the fact that the guards are displayed as green
icons in your minimap. Okay? Okay.

Head right into the next area. The camera will shift, similar to the box room
back at the Duel Stadium. This first guard should be no problem to sneak past
if you remember to run and learn his pattern quickly. Once you are at the
other side of the hallway, examine the switch next to the doors, which will
unlock. Head into the room.

Examine the third box on the left wall for "Mist Wurm". From there, go to the
opposite side of the room. Examine the green box for a "Flamvell Magician".
Now, go straight up and examine the rightmost box on the northern wall.
You'll acquire two things: "Your Deck" and "Crow's Cards". Whoohoo! At this
point, you can now edit your deck! You've also completed your objective, but
there're more goodies to be had here. Skip the next three paragraphs if you
can't stand any more of this stealth stuff.

Go back to the first room and head to the top left area. This bit has three
guards, two of which are in a formation that will never let you get through.
The solution is pretty simple, fortunately. Return to the intersection and
activate the elevator. One of the guards will come and see what's going on,
and you're free to pass. The rest should be a piece of cake. If you're
having trouble with the second guard, just be sure to keep him just out of
sight if he's facing you and you'll do fine.

Okay, now we're in the control room. Examine the third keyboard from the
left in the semicircle of control panels and you'll unlock a treasure room.
Head back to the intersection and go right this time.

Do not move until you see the guard walk towards you. The instant he turns,
run to the right as fast as you can. Stay close to the bottom of the screen.
Do not stop when you reach the second guard. Examine the switch next to the
door as soon as you get to it, and go in. Examine the first box on the left
for a Star Chip, third box on the left for "Securities Disk", third box on
the top for "D.D. Crow", and the second box from the right for "Breaker the
Magical Warrior". Whoo! Great haul! Put on your shiny new duel disk if you
want and leave. There's nothing else to find here until after you beat the
game.

Go back home and talk to Crow. He greets you with a depressing lack of
gratitude for all your hard work. You return his cards and he'll do a 180.
Some kid named Itsuki now runs in and demands a duel from you. Popular, huh?
Anyways, after a little back and forth between them, Itsuki leaves and Crow
tells you to go duel him.

Before you do so, recall that you now have the ability to edit your deck.
Note that the Starter Deck you have now is not the same one as your Supplied
Deck from Chapter One, so if you want, you can leave it alone and get used to
it. However, I recommend that you upgrade it as soon as possible, and as such,
we're going to do just that.

Unfortunately, the card shop is not yet open. We can't get any new cards
yet...or can we? Save, enter the menu, and select "Return to Mode Selection".
Choose "World Championship" instead of the usual "5D's Story Mode". The fifth
option is "Shop". Go there and select "Get Cards". You'll now have the option
of buying cards from a range of packs, as well as one of the Structure Decks
that you dueled with a while back. I suggest getting the Structure Deck first;
they all have extremely useful cards that you can include in virtually any
deck. Next, buy packs as you see fit. Time to edit your deck! If you need tips
on how to build a good deck, refer to the "Helpful Hints" section.

Once you're done, go back to Story Mode and talk to Itsuki to duel him.

|______________________________

When that's over, Crow gives you "Seven Tools of the Bandit" and tells you
that Yusei was looking for you. Yusei?!

Note that the card shop is now open. Before you advance the story, I would
advise you to win against everyone you can find three times. It will save you
some searching time after the story, as well as unlock some new stuff early.
Here's a list of people you can duel at the moment:

Itsuro
Natsumi
Gordon
Hayakawa
Mimi
*Chihiro
Yusuke

*Chihiro is the girl in the sailor fuku east of the card shop. The first time
you talk to her, she'll tell you that she's collecting Star Chips and will
trade you rare stuff for your Star Chips. This is a great way to get powerful
cards relatively early in the game, with awesome new art as an added bonus. Do
some trading if you want to, or save up for a bigger prize.

When you're done with all the other stuff, head north from the card shop.
From there, access the World Map and choose Satellite: Slum.

In the second area, near the entrance, there's a rack thing with clothes on
it. Examine it to find "Dust Tornado". Head right from there, turn south, and
go to the next area. Go due south from the blue-haired guy until you're in a
small alcove at the bottom of the screen. Examine and you'll find 1500 DP.

Talk to Yusei when you're ready. Talk to him again to initiate the practice
race. When you're done, Yusei will give you a Turbo Chip I. The Duel Runner
shop is now open, by the way. Go there and talk to the guy in orange. He'll
ask you for "Wing SP". Hey, didn't we get that a while ago? Give it to him,
and he'll give you "Colossal Fighter" in exchange! Awesome!

Time for a well-earned rest. Unfortunately, you have some inexplicable curse
that calls to people to interrupt whatever you're doing at the worst times.
Kalin walks in and gives you some background about the duel gang you didn't
know you were in, and then asks you to duel him. Groan.

| Kalin is probably one of the harder duelists you'll encounter. Most of his
| monsters have high ATK power and destructive effects, and his cards
| actually have some synergy. Bring traps like Widespread Ruin, Sakuretsu
| Armor, or other such destruction, as well as ATK-boosting cards like Rush
| Recklessly (or conversely, cards that cut ATK, like Shrink). Also, you have
| Synchros and Kalin doesn't. Use that to your advantage, because Kalin
| doesn't have many outs to bigger beatsticks than his. If you lose the duel,
| he'll tell you to do it again until you win.
|______________________________

Kalin will tell you that tomorrow is your next (first?) turf battle with other
duel gangs for the control of Satellite. Go home and talk to Crow, who will
tell you to prepare for the turf battle. If you've been dueling diligently,
you should have a ton of DP to spend and a couple of new packs unlocked. Buy
some and improve your deck, then talk to Crow again to go to bed.

Talk to Crow when you're ready to roll. You'll teleport to the other team's
hideout, and Kalin tells you that you're late. After a short briefing session,
Kalin leaves you the first floor.

There is a Save Point in the room to the right. Head left in the corridor and

| Hiroyuki's deck is stuffed with draw power, plus he has that special rule.
| At that rate, he'll probably deck himself out before you can do any major

| Barring that, there's absolutely nothing to be afraid of. If you've gotten

| have some removal like Lightning Vortex and Tribute to the Doomed, though,
| so be careful if you're going to stall him out.
|______________________________

The area is now under your control (although that doesn't actually mean
anything), and the gang regroups at the hideout. The discussion soon ends and
the next day begins.

You're in the hideout, in case you didn't know. Keep going upstairs until the
next one is blocked, then go left to the doorway. Go inside the room. There's
a Save Point here. Examine the table for "Enemy Controller". I see what you
did there, Konami. Now, head back through the doorway and go to the right of
the blocked-off stairs. There's a box with 300 DP just past the door. Head
down one flight of stairs, then go around the pile of boxes to the left. In
the corner, you can examine the box next to you to get a Star Chip. Head down
again, then go outside. Here, go to the right. Go up when you see Jack and
you'll find a box with 200 DP.
Go back home for now. When you get to the area where it is, an event will
occur. Crow comes up to talk to you, then Annie runs over and tells you that
Itsuki's been kidnapped. You've got to catch up to them!

We're going to have to race now, so if you want, go to the Duel Runner shop in
the Slums and get some new parts. Otherwise, talk to Crow to begin the race.
This one is simple - you just have to catch up to Crow before he completes a
lap to win.

When you do, you'll see two guys with Itsuki walking away. Crow starts
screaming his head off at them. Apparently, they're from Team Dirty Works.
They challenge the two of you to duels. This will be one-on-one rather than a
Tag Duel, so none of that just yet.

| I like turtles. Apparently, Kameno does too. His deck is going to try and

| pose much of a threat to you at this point. Just beat him down with

|______________________________
Itsuki will return to you safe and sound. Everyone will go home, and Itsuki
gives you "Kunai with Chain". The two little guys will run off, then Annie
comes back in to tell you that Kalin wants you at the hideout. Duel Annie
three times if you want, then go find Kalin.

Kalin will blow his top when Crow tells him what's been going on. Your work's
cut out for you now, so it's time to wail on Team Dirty Works. Fix up your
deck if you want (a new pack should have become available to you at this point
in Story Mode), then talk to Kalin outside the hideout to begin your raid.

After a rather disturbing pep rally courtesy of Kalin, the guys rush the
place. You get stuck waiting outside until the others come. Fortunately, they
arrive not a second later, and our happy little family invades.

Examine the machine farthest to the right for a Star Chip. Now, examine the
thing in the top right corner (what exactly is it, anyways?) and Kuroe will
pop out. Playtime is over!

| might be in a spot of trouble. Spellbreaker also stops you from using
| Spells and Traps, and Calming Magic stops you from Summoning. Play
| aggressively and you should have little trouble against Kuroe's defensive
| tactics.
|______________________________

Kuroe makes an ominous comment about traps. Head through the big entryway with
the bowling pins. You will see Yusei, rush over, and pull him out of the way
just in time to avoid some large, falling rocks. He'll get all mushy and thank
you excessively for saving his life. He runs off to report to the others, and
Kameno appears. He's rather pissed because you managed to evade his trap, and
you'll have to duel him. Again.

Before you do that, go to the end of the third lane and examine it to get a
Star Chip. Now, talk to Kameno to start your duel. He has exactly the same
deck as before, so just do whatever you did the last time you dueled him.

Once you're done, do what Kameno says and leave. Some guy named Ida will then
challenge you. He's the leader of Team Dirty Works. Before you accept, there
is a special rule for this duel. It's the only Match Duel you'll ever play in
Story Mode, so build a Side Deck if you wish. When you're done, talk to Ida.

| This guy is actually pretty strong, so be careful. His strategy consists of
| sending FIRE and WATER monsters into the Graveyard so he can Special Summon
| his Frost and Flame Dragon, which has a nice destruction effect on top of
| its 2300 ATK. Defeat him quickly before he can bring out his dragon, or
| else he will overwhelm you. However, this is a Match Duel, so it's best out
| of three. If you lose the first time, you have to win the other two. Make
| use of your Side Deck if you want, but there's no real reason to if you
| have a competent deck. Ida does not have a Side Deck, so there's nothing to
| worry about on that matter.
|______________________________

Once that's done, Yusei says some more mushy stuff and everybody goes back
to the hideout. Kalin congratulates everyone on a job well done, and remarks
that there's only one area left. Whoa, that was fast. You'll teleport back
home (I love all this teleporting going on) and the day will end.

The next day, there will be a box that mysteriously appeared in front of the
computer. Open it for "Forbidden Chalice". Crow's busy fixing his deck, so go
outside.

Head a bit past the card shop. Kalin walks over and greets you, and then his
bipolar disorder acts up and he challenges you. He has the same deck as
before. Beat him and he has another mood swing and gives you "Shield Crush".

Now, go back home and talk to Crow. He's done with his deck and wants to try
it out on you.

When the two of you are done, Kalin walks in to tell you that the final turf

| For some reason, some people have lots of trouble with this duel. The only

|______________________________

The two will run away with some lame words, and Jack will show off his cool-

Moving on. Head over to the stairs, but don't go up just yet. Go through the
little space just behind the stairs, and when you reach the end of that
passageway, press A for a Star Chip. Now, head upstairs. Examine the entryway
at the end to raise the door, and enter.
Go past Crow and down the corridor. At the fork, don't go into the next area,
but instead turn south. There's a box with 200 DP. Now go north to the next
area.

Go down through the narrow corridor, then head left. Go around to the other
side of the pile of boxes and examine them for another Star Chip. Go back up,
past the stairs. There's a Save Point to your right and a box with 200 DP on
the other side, to your left. Keep going, and you'll see another pair of
thugs, named Torino and Mitchie. They're another two on one pair, so be

| These guys' decks clash even more. Mitchie runs Koa'ki Meirus, which will

| Usually, he can't. However, Torino has some competency with his Harpie
| Ladies, and can easily run over you if he gets out multiple Harpie Lady
| 1's. Speed over the two and move on.
|______________________________

Like the other two, they run away after some more lame acting. Continue along
the path into the next area.

This is another box room. It's completely optional; the exit is right in front
of you should you not want the treasure. Skip the next section if you want to
keep moving on.

This will be easier if we consider each floor tile one square, so I'll be
using that convention for the area. Go to the first junction, where the bulk
of the puzzle begins. Turn left three squares, then go up two. Head across
the conveyor belt. Go up one, left two, up two (across the conveyor belt), up
one, then up the stairs to the right. Go right, down the conveyor belt, down
the stairs, up one, right one, up one, right four, down across the conveyor
belt, and you'll arrive at a box with 1500 DP. Follow the belts down and back
to the first junction. Follow the same path back to the first set of stairs.
Again, go down the conveyor belt and down the stairs. This time, head up one,
right four, up two, left two, up three, left four, up two, right one, and
examine the box for a Star Chip. Go up via the conveyor belt and head left to
the yellow box (don't push it). Go down, and push the box down three. Get the
box you can see for another Star Chip. Here, we now have to do something
confusing - leave the area. Do not press Y (restart), just go back the way you
came and come back in. Go up all the way (almost to the exit) and turn left,
to the yellow box. Again, don't push it. Head down and push the box there NOT
three like last time, but only ONE. Push the box to your left two, then go up
two and push the box on your left two across. Push the box below you down
three. Go left one and down two, then push the box on your right across one.
Go down three and push that box left one.Go back up and push the box directly
above you up one. Go right two and push that box across one. Head down the
straight path and left at the end. Push that box to the left one. Go down and
push the box on your right all the way over. Go up past the conveyor belt and
push the box above you up two. Take the box at the end of the path for "Rock'n
Roller", a new outfit. Go down back to the conveyor belt and right through the
gap. Go up and push the box in your way all the way up. Head through the
twisty path and leave the area, then come back in for the last box. Once
again, head up and left to the box. Go down and push the box below you down
three. Push the box to your left across four (all the way). Go straight up and
push that box up two. Go around and grab the box for 1000 DP. Now, head left
and push the box across just until you can go down. Do so. Cross the conveyor
belt, go up and find your way to the exit.

Whoa. That was one long section. Anyways, with that over with- What?! Yusei's
in trouble! You see Kalin holding onto Yusei, who's hanging off the wall.
Egad! After a little conversation, Team Non-Securities's leader, Gushizawa,
will make an appearance. What a meanie!

Here, Kalin makes the most insightful remark in the game (and frankly, in any
philosophy textbook).

"Grr!"

Quote it as much as you can.

Gushizawa will finally notice you. Somehow, you teleported in front of him.
Kalin makes a terrible pun, and you'll step up to the challenge. There's a
Save Point all the way to the left, just above the stairs. Talk to Gushizawa
when you're ready.

|
| This duel can really screw you over. First of all, you start with half the
| LP you should, and Gushizawa retains the full 8000. Second, he runs a
| halfway decent Six Samurai deck, which has the potential to completely
| destroy you if you don't act quickly. Most of his Samurai have relatively
| low ATK, but he makes up for it with Burden of the Mighty and Shien's
| Castle of Mist. If you have Royal Oppression, now's the time to use it. If
| you don't, bring out your strongest beaters and smack him into submission.
|______________________________

Once you defeat him, Kalin and Yusei will pop up and sneer at Gushizawa with
evil intent. Just kidding. He runs off like a frightened cow (not very
gracefully), and happy day! We've gotten control of all of Satellite! After
more mushy-mushy stuff, we go home to pop the champagne corks. Not.

A few days later...we end up at the hideout. You can now duel Jack and Yusei,
so do so. Jack will give you "Different Dimension Capsule" if you win. Yusei
has a "Quillbolt Hedgehog" for you if you defeat him. Once you're finished
with these guys, go outside. Crow will stop you if you cheated and didn't duel
them. Once you're in the open air, you'll see Kalin bullying some little guy.
Go back inside for help. The gang will conveniently be assembled in front of
you, and everybody will go to try to stop Kalin.

Crow will shove Kalin aside and tell the kid to run before he falls off the
cliff. After some RAGE, Crow will leave the team! Jack follows suit, and you
follow Jack.

The next day, head east to the bridge. You'll see Crow standing a bit to the
north. He'll tell you a story with some cool scenes. Don't try this at home,
kids!

Annie then runs up to you and tells you that Kalin is fighting Securities all
by his lonesome. Go to the hideout as Crow suggests and talk to Yusei, who
appreciates the pleasant surprise. The gang convenes and you all leave for the
building where Kalin is.

Surprise surprise, this is another sneak-past-the-Securities deal. Head

upstairs to enter everyone's favorite camera mode. The first guard should be
a piece of cake. The second will see you if you get anywhere near him, so go
into the room (for some reason he doesn't hear that insanely loud creaking
noise when you open the door) and through the hole in the wall. Careful, you
have to walk behind the Security's back. If you run, he'll notice you. Yusei's
a bit over to the right, and you'll run up to talk to him. Apparently, Kalin's
inside the room. He's laid out a couple of the Securities, and makes some more
wack comments. Everybody will make a run for it when they hear the Securities
coming.

Back at the hideout, Kalin's still in berserker frenzy mode from his bipolar
disorder. After some discussion, Crow will go out to scout and immediately
return with the news that you're surrounded. Jack has it right; there's no way
out this time. Kalin disagrees with his teeth bared and drool dripping. Yusei,
on the other hand, has a plan.

He'll tell Crow, Jack and Kalin to sneak out the back. There's a back way out?

Anyways, you get to stay behind with Yusei. He tells you that he's going to
turn himself in. How could you do this to me, Yusei?! I...I...I thought we
were friends! Sniffle. He says some more mushy stuff (there's so much of it in
this game) and leaves. Execute plan.

Oh snap! It turns out that they've caught Kalin already! Kalin accuses Yusei
of betraying him. What a moron. Kalin repeats some familiar words and he's
dragged away.

"Yusei! Yusei!!!"

The chapter would've been so much more epic had it ended there. But nooo, we
have to suffer through more.

Back at home, talk to Crow to go to sleep.

You'll have some weird dreams. Maybe you ate too many mushrooms? Anyways, the
voice will tell you the typical fantasy storyline (evil is coming, you must
stop it by finding the one person who has the power or else the world will
end, etc etc). It's like the five-sentence version of every Zelda game.

When you wake up, Itsuki will talk to you. Go outside when he's done. Crow
will spot you and come over to chat. You tell him about your dream, but he
thinks you ate too many mushrooms too.

Hey look, it's Sayer! He thinks that you didn't eat enough, and runs on over
to eavesdrop. After some words of caution, Crow goes back inside. Sayer comes
up to hand you some more mushrooms. Of course, you can't trust their quality,
so you deny him your cash. He has no other choice but to give you them by
force, so he does some extremely cool psychic thing and uses "Brain Control"
to (guess what?) control your brain. Sayer then takes you to that hateful pod
thing.

TIME WARP

You're back to the end of Chapter 1, and you suddenly recall your groupies.
Your life signs are too weak for any more brainwashing, so Seria stops the
process before you can become just like that boy. That boy who? Sayer makes a
face and quotes Kalin, before noticing a fungus among us. Er, an intruder. You
get stuck in a cell. Boo.

Seria talks to herself for a while and mentions "that same mistake again".
Whatever could she mean?

You hear a voice from the Spirit World calling to you. You seriously have to
lay off those mushrooms. Anyways, your consciousness drifts off again, this
time to Chapter Three!

------------------------------
-Chapter Three-
------------------------------
Note that your menu is disabled. Head to the right and examine the big tree.
Now, go all the way left and examine that pointy stalagmite with the purple
and yellow stick thing poking out. Ooh, it's a seedling and a staff. You'll
pull the Minus Staff out and - WHAM. Cool. Guess what we're going to do next.

You got it. Head back to the big tree on the right and examine it to stab it
with the Minus Staff. Unfortunately, your Staff disappears after one use.

Go to the next area. Take the Staff right in front of you, then go north.
You'll see another one, so pick that up. Go back to where you found the first
Minus Staff, then head east. Use one of your Minus Staves on the tree with the
box on top, then use the Minus Staff on the empty box. You'll get a Star Chip!
Now, exit and return to the area. Yes, I know it's annoying, but it's the only
way to get all the treasure. Pick up the first two Staves again, but this
time, keep heading north. Examine the waterfall at the end of the path. Use a
Minus Staff to stop the river. Turn around and follow the path in the other
direction until you get to the end. You can cross the riverbed there, so do
so. Head north and pick up the Minus Staff near the gate. There's another tree
with a box in its branches, so repeat the procedure from before to acquire
"Dark Bribe". Exit and reenter. Don't worry, that's the last of 'em...for now.
Redo the previous steps up until the third Minus Staff. Keep heading west, and
you'll get to a broken bridge. Use one of your Staves on it to restore it.
Cross and use your last Minus Staff on the not-waterfall to get it flowing
again. The gate's open now, so head on through.

You'll see another little pipsqueak named Torunka, who tells you to hide. The
camera shifts to a pair of monkey fellows, and blah blah blah. Torunka then
gives you "Your Deck" back! Yay! He then asks you to duel, as usual. By the
way, if you haven't figured it out yet, he's Dark Sage, but cursed.

More exposition. Done? Treasure time! Go to the fountain in the middle of the
town, and examine it for a Star Chip. Wait, that's all. How sad.

Go through the northwestern exit. Follow the path. Chat with the monkey at the

|______________________________

Once that's through, Torunka runs up and blabbers on about stuff, then gives
you "Torunka's Staff". Shiny...

After more blah blah blah, Torunka goes in the cave palace thing and Eiki
makes a very insightful remark. Go after Torunka.

There's a Save Point to your right. Guards are blocking the way north, so head
up the stairs to the right, just above the Save Point.

There are two doors in this room. The one to the north is one of our old
friends, a box room! The other one, to the right, has Luna inside. Go there if
you want to skip the tedium of the box room, and skip the next section as
usual.

Enter the box room. Up the stairs to the right is a box with "Card Trader". Go
back down and up the other stairs, and follow the path to the yellow box. Push
it up three. Push the box to the north into the slot. Follow the now-clear
path, and push the box at the end up into the slot, like the previous one.
Keep going (the path is apparent), and when you go down to floor level, head
between the two staircases. There is a gap in the wall like so (denoted by the
"<"):

_ | | |
| |--| |__
| |--| ||
| |< -----
| |____
| ||||
-------

Go through it and grab the box in the corner for "Dimensional Prison". Sweet!
Now, head up the stairs that you didn't just head down. On the other side,
there'll be a mass of boxes. That's not going to be pretty. Push the only box
you can reach up one. Push the box to your upper left up one. There's a box
almost hidden in the little alcove to the left of the box lump with "Royal
Decree". Go back around to the pair of stairways. There's a little path right
above the topmost one. Push the box in the narrow space up one, then go right
through the gap the box was covering to reach a box. It contains "Junk
Synchron". Leave and reenter, then retrace your steps to the group of boxes.
This time, go to the box that you pushed out of the way to get the "Junk
Synchron", and now push it up all the way. This will reveal a gap on the left
side. Push the box that is blocking your way through the gap left one. Push
the box above you up all the way. This will block the obvious route to the
box. Push the box to your left all the way, then go around the boxes and grab
your "Stuffed Collar Uniform"! Woohoo! We're done here, so head back out.

Examine the other door. You'll use Torunka's staff to unlock it, and it will
creak open. Enter. Luna will spot you and be happy. More story will unfold,
along with some unfunny funniness. When you regain control, save if you wish
and talk to the monkey to duel.

| This monkey sucks in comparison with the other one. His deck is geared

| Do try to finish him quickly; while his deck is supposed to be Synchro-

|______________________________

More story. Maybe it's just me, but this whole chapter is pretty lackluster.
I don't know about you, but I'm bored out of my mind, and this whole chase
scene isn't helping. All these attempts at comedic relief are just making it
worse. But what am I doing? This isn't a review! Ignore my ramblings, and let
us continue.

Once Luna and Torunka finish their dialogue, head east like Torunka tells you
to. Keep going through the next area, and you'll get to some woods. Now I know
where you get all those mushrooms from. Minus Staff puzzle time!

Note: There's a chest containing "Divine Wrath" in the first area here. I'm
not going to figure out how to get it because it's just not worth it in my
opinion. So, I'm going to skip over it here. Later versions may have the
solution.

Grab the Staff right in front of you, then head down and right at the first
fork. Use the Staff on the small mushroom. Make a loop to the right and grab
the Staff to the south. Go back to the mushroom furthest to the right and use
your one Staff on it. Take the Staff to the north and head in the opposite
direction to go to the next area.

There are strange contraptions consisting of gigantic rocks held up by vines

of ivy here. Go east past the first such and use your Minus Staff from the
previous area on the next one you see. The rock will fall over and dam the
river. Now, head into the drained riverbed and snag the Minus Staff to the
south. It's almost directly below the ramp, but it's a little hard to see.
Head east again (up the ramp to the right) and use your staff on the rock just
past the riverbed. It rolls over and hits the tree, knocking your next two
Staves out of the branches. Grab them and return to the first big rock. Use a
Staff on it, and it will dam up this part of the river in a similar fashion to
the previous. Head a bit south to the big pile of green stuff (apparently,
it's moss or something) and use your last Staff on it. It'll shrink so you can
pass. Go down the nearby ramp into the riverbed and head south. Get the Staff
there, and then head up the nearby ramp. Use the Staff on the new pile of moss
blocking your path, and we're done! Down and out.

An event will occur with Regulus. Talk to him to do battle. Simba, I choose
you!

Stuffz will occur. I'm running out of things to do while mashing A.

Turns out Luna's body is in the Arcadia Movement HQ too. Didn't Sayer say
something about an intruder? Anyways, Chapter Four time!

------------------------------
-Chapter Four-
------------------------------

You'll wake up in the bed where you started tripping...er, where you traveled
to the Spirit World from. Carly will start making a racket. How'd she get
here? Oh, so she was the intruder. Try to leave and you'll use Torunka's Staff
to unlock the door.

Head over to Carly's cell. You'll automatically unlock her door. She'll run
off and leave some notes behind that might be interesting to you. Liquid will
make his comeback, along with evade-the-Securities music and camera. Oh, no.
Not again!

Un-Liquid is in a position where he will see you if you try to exit the area.
To remedy this, examine the bottom-right statue twice. The second time you do
so, you'll push it over and Liquid will be distracted. Be sure to stand to the
right of the statue or else he'll see you anyway.

Enter the room just to the left. Examine the bed for 600 DP. Exit the room and
head left to the hallway on the other side. Continue left and a mysterious
voice will attract your attention. It's Luna! You'll unlock her door. After
some more chat, she'll mention her twin brother Leo, who is also imprisoned.

Surprise! It's Yusei again! Since nobody knows what in the name of Larvae Moth
what is going on, you'll all go into the room and have a little exposition
cruise. Yusei will hand you "Your Deck" back, as well as a nifty key card. He
leaves to rescue Akiza, so I guess it's time to mobilize.

Leave the room. There's a guard wandering about to the left who shouldn't be
too much trouble to sneak past. Head over to the last door on the left side.
Sayer pops up and threatens you and Luna, then calls in un-Liquid and un-
Okita. After some more explanation, Sayer leaves. Guess it's time to duel our
two un-friends. Luna makes it a 2 on 2, so talk to either psychic to begin a
Tag Duel.

| Liquid and Okita use two Psychic deck variants. Obviously, they complement
| each other fairly well. This will be more of a 3 on 1 duel, as Luna's deck
| is pretty terrible and probably will not help yours very well. You may have
| some trouble if either of your opponents manages to land a Synchro, but

|______________________________

When you defeat the duo, they'll recover from their brainwashing. You'll hatch
a plan with them. MegaMan, jack in! Execute!

You'll use Torunka's staff to unlock the door to Leo's cell, and more talking
will happen. You'll finally regain control, so head over to the elevator (a
couple of areas to the right, in case you've forgotten). Luna and Leo are
standing in front of it. Examine the switch to activate the elevator.

Leo: "Going down!"

Luna: "Leo!"

Er. Awkward moment over, the camera teleports to Carly, who appears to be...
dying. Or something. She'll cry out to Jack, and the camera moves to reveal
Sayer. *dramatic music*

Okita walks up to Sayer and tells him that he and Liquid have recaptured you
and Luna. Sayer leaves soon after, and a mysterious, evil-looking purple mist
envelopes Carly. That can't mean anything good.

Back at the elevator, Leo and Luna run off. Head back into the elevator.
You'll go back upstairs, and a very unhappy camper will show his face. Go find
a Save Point and use it if you want, then talk to Sayer to begin your duel.

Sore Loser Sayer pulls out some insanely cool psychic jazz when he loses. Very
fortunately for you, his Hinotama doesn't hit you; Torunka's Staff reflects it
towards Sayer. Now with Sayer unconscious, we can go hop happily away to find
Yusei and Akiza. Head left to the next area and continue straight. You'll hear
Akiza's voice from the floor below. She's having a conversation with...some
weird girl dressed in a very emo fashion.

Misty Tredwell?!

Wait, who's that? More exposition occurs. Notice Misty's delectable eyes. Of
course, like Akiza, we have no idea what's going on. Some mysterious force
tells you that you have to save Akiza, so back to the elevator. Sayer wakes up
the second you leave and has a little soliloquy with one of the freakiest
facial expressions you will ever see, before someone interrupts.

You?!

Wait, who's that? Carly Carmine, that's who. Except she's been on a trip to
Hot Topic. After some rather creepy talk, they prepare to duel.

You'll get to Akiza just in time for more chitchat between her and Misty. Who
on earth could Misty be prattling about?

Another camera switch, back to Sayer. Seems he's been defeated, and Carly
makes her slow advance. Hahaha! Fall to the depths of the Underworld! Here,
you'll see a picture of a gigantic, mutated hummingbird with lines all over it
smack into the Arcadia Movement building, and then an extremely cool scene
with Sayer falling right past Akiza's floor. Yusei finally turns up, then we
have another scene switch, this time to Jack. Poor, poor Carly.

Blocks of rubble will prevent you from going back inside the Arcadia Movement
HQ for now. You'll get to Yusei's friend Blister's apartment, and everybody
gets up to speed. Yusei prattles on about stuff that you probably won't
understand if you haven't already spoiled the plot by watching the anime.
Blister pops up and tells you to deliver his mail. Hey, you gotta work for
room and board.

There's a Save Point in the lower left corner of the room and not much else,
so leave the room. Head all the way to the other end of the hallway and
examine the boxes in the corner for a Star Chip. Take the elevator downstairs,
then exit the building.

There are a ton of new people to duel if you want. Head right to a new area.
The building on the corner is the local card shop. Right next to it is a
fenced-off area. Examine the gate to open it. You can Structure Duel with the
girl inside, named Peko. Head all the way south from there and examine the
boxes for a "Magic Drain", then enter the next area. At the fork, the path
north leads to the Security Facility. There's a side quest involving the guy
standing in front of it, but I'll address that later. South and around leads
to the Underground Duel Arena all the way at the end. Go inside there and
downstairs. Around the middle of the bottom wall, you'll see a box with 500 DP
inside. On the far side of the north wall is a bar; examine the counter to the
center right for a Star Chip.

We're done with treasure in this area for now, so head to Bootleg. It's the
building adjacent to the fork. Talk to the barkeep to deliver "Mail for the
Owner". Return to Blister's place, but don't go in the building just yet. To
the left is the Duel Runner shop. Go to the next area to the left. Walk along
the bottom wall and you will encounter an object. Examine it for a Star Chip.
Now we can go back.

Blister will leave for a while. If you've done everything and dueled everyone
(or are too lazy to do any of that), talk to Yusei to go to sleep. You'll
awaken in the middle of the night. Save if you're paranoid, then exit the
room and head for the elevator. Plot event! Head over to Akiza's room, the one
on the left.

Examine the bed for a "Nobleman of Extermination". Talk to the rapi- er,
intruder to duel.

Jean walks out confuzzled. I don't blame him. Akiza then experiences a grand

|______________________________

Yusei runs in and does some Sayer-esque mojo. More blah blah blah follows, and
Akiza joins the ranks of your groupies. Everybody goes back to bed. What a
hectic midnight bathroom trip.

When you wake up, head towards the elevator. One-way conversation between you
and Yusei and Akiza ensues, and Akiza hands you "Queen of Thorns". Mina pops
out of the elevator (remember her? Jack's fangirl?) and tells you that Rex
Goodwin would like to have tea and crumpets with Yusei and Akiza. That's not
good. Fortunately, you're going to tag along. Yay!

Yusei and Akiza spout off some nonsense about stuff that you wouldn't
understand if you didn't play the previous game (Stardust Accelerator: World
Championship 2009) or have no idea what is going on in the anime.

It turns out Jack's been waiting for you downstairs and heard your discussion
with his epic wall-ignoring hearing skillz. Jack sees you and is surprised,
and then we all leave...and enter Chapter Five!

------------------------------
-Chapter Five-
------------------------------

We start off the chapter with an insanely long stretch of something that
consists of three quarters exposition and the rest pep talk. Get to work,
guys! We need to fill in those plot holes!

When you regain control, you can find a Save Point to the bottom right. Talk
to Trudge when you're ready to bust some baddies. You'll arrive at the hideout
by helicopter; do as Yusei suggests and go find Crow. He's back at home. When
you get there, Yusei will tell Crow everything that's been going on.

Before you talk to Crow to begin your first Turbo Duel, fix up your Turbo
Deck. It's the Starter Deck (Turbo), which you can improve vastly upon at this
point in the storyline. Once you're done, begin the Turbo Duel.

| Turbo Duels really restrict Crow's choice of Spells, so take advantage of
| the fact that he can't execute key combos with his lack of Black Whirlwind

| this and future Turbo Duels; you can easily defeat Crow and his lack of
| offensive might. Regardless of what you're using, wail on Crow until he
| loses.
|______________________________

Crow gives you "Defense Draw" if you win. Leave for the hideout if you don't
have any loose ends to tie. When you get there, talk to Yusei. Enter...Emo-
Kalin! Oh snap! Aside from the extremely creepy grin, Kalin's got some new
tricks up his sleeve now that he's a Dark Signer. Stuff happens; talk to Luna
when you're ready.

Random semi-relevant quote:

"I've made it this far in life using the the karate I learned on the
Internet!"

Props to you if you're familiar with the source. Now, off we go to find Zeman!

Head back into the castle (north town exit). More monkeys arrive, but are
distracted. Save if you want, then make your way to the north door (the one
you couldn't get to last time). More Minus Staff puzzles!

Walk on the green arrow thing to the center platform and take both Minus
Staves. Go back to the bottom platform and use a Minus Staff on the boxy-
looking altar. Cross the arrows (hands?) to the bottom-right platform, grab
the Staff, and light the altar. Repeat with the top-right platform. Now, go
to the center platform where the first two Staves were and light that altar.
From there, just keep going counterclockwise. Once you've lit all the altars,
the door on the top platform will open. Go through it.

Dun dun dun duuun! There's a box to the left with a "Dark Resonator". Talk to
Zeman when you're ready to duel.

| Beware of the special rule, though; if you're running Psychics or something

| use the rule to your advantage with burn decks if you're so inclined.
| Interesting note: Zeman appears to be left-handed.
|______________________________

Regulus does a suicide charge into Zeman and kills him off, freeing the
Ancient Fairy Dragon. Discussion occurs, then Torunka teleports you and Luna
to the control units. A Save Point is in sight; use it. Leo and Devack are to
the right. Go to them, and you'll see a scene. It's you and Luna vs. Devack!

|______________________________

Devack is covered in a familiar purple vortex, then vanishes. Mushy stuff

happens between Leo and Luna, and then Luna seals the control unit with
Ancient Fairy Dragon. Trudge appears and makes off with the twins, and you're
left with finishing the other Dark Signers. Great deal.

Head towards the west exit and Dark Signer Greiger will roll on down. You'll

| Greiger uses a Reactor Burn deck featuring SKY FIRE. His deck shouldn't be
| too much of an issue, but you'll have to wait until he summons his
| Earthbound Immortal before you win in order for it to count. This can be
| accomplished in a million ways. A popular strategy is to knock him down to

|______________________________

Even Greiger gets mushy. Be a man! He disappears too.

You'll see a scene with Dark Signer Kalin and Yusei. Grab the box just to the
north with "Zeman the Ape King" and save, then exit left. Be prepared!

Once you're through with the race, you'll end up in the next area. Save Point

Creepy old Lazar lets you in...but a gigantic earthquake rocks the house

The team storms the mansion. Get going.

Rex Goodwin walks out and spills the beans. You dastard! You sexy, sexy beast!

Um. Yeah. It's time to race against the Condor. You and Yusei rush off on the
Duel Runners that you must keep in your pocket or something, and Akiza just
stands there. Poor girl.

The race is simple; simply pass Rex and you're good to go, similar to the
race we had with Crow all those chapters ago. This may prove difficult if you
have lots of clunk on your Duel Runner. Fix it for speed and only speed; use
Hi-Boosters if you can and ditch all your shields and stuff.

Once you finish, Rex challenges you and Yusei to a 2 vs. 1 duel, on the
condition that he gets 16000 LP. Watchers of the anime will recall that the
original duel was Rex vs. Yusei, Jack, and Crow. You've essentially replaced
Crow in everything that matters...but where's Jack?

Talk to Rex to begin when you're done preparing.

|______________________________
|
| Godwin is using an Inca/Earthbound Immortal deck for this duel. His Inti/
| Quilla loop can get extremely annoying if you don't have a means to get rid
| of one; things like D.D. Crow or Dark Core are useful in this respect. He's
| also got a ton of support for his Earthbound Immortal that none of the
| previous Dark Signers we've dueled had. To be honest, this duel shouldn't
| be too difficult. Use it as a warm-up for the real contest to come.
|______________________________

The rest of the gang arrives, just in time to see the King of the Underworld
arrive. Goodwin does something beyond strange with his arm, and then some
more creepy stuff happens and a few plot holes are filled in. It's time to
climb the tower and defeat Goodwin once and for all!

...And then THE MOST ANTICLIMATIC MOMENT EVER occurs with Yusei's Duel Runner.
You're left as the only one who can challenge Goodwin, so I guess that's what
we have to do. There's a Save Point in the area to the south if you haven't
found it yet (to the bottom right). Use it, then go and accept Godwin's
challenge.

==============================
= IV. Post-Story Stuff
==============================

Here we go again.

We start off at home, and Itsuki and Annie run up to greet you. Seems like the
Daedalus Bridge has been completed. Itsuki tells you that you can change your
Tag Partner in Bootleg, in the DAIMON Area. Remember that place? Anyways, what
the two squirts are trying to tell you is that you can get some new Tag
Partners by dueling people until they consent. Go ahead and try it if you
want, but I'll just move on.

There are a lot of side quests to complete now, so I'll start with the one
closest to home. Be sure to save before and after you complete each one!

------------------------------
-The Headless Rider-
------------------------------

Talk to Trudge, who is standing just north of the bridge. He'll tell you about
the headless rider and ask for your assistance. Accept if you're ready, and a
race will immediately initiate - with a ? for the opponent. Your job is to
catch up with him before he completes a lap, as usual. Once you do so, the
race will end and the mysterious person will give you his Duel Runner. Use it;
it's easily the best frame you can acquire. That's one side quest down. Wasn't
that simple?

------------------------------
-Missing Daughter-
------------------------------

From where you end up, head to the area to the right. Talk to the woman in
yellow (Natsumi). She'll be shouting for her daughter Hana, who seems to be
missing, and will ask you for help. Enter the building to the north. Go inside
the room to the northeast. There's a box with "Magical Hats" in the corner. If
you haven't realized yet, this is the hideout of the first duel gang we
knocked around. Anyways, leave that room and head to the one on the left side.
Go downstairs...and whoopee! Box puzzle!
Push the nearby box right one space to get at the box with the "Rough Style"
outfit. Head left and down around the stairs to the group of boxes. Push the
top one right one space, then the middle one over two spaces. Claim the prize
to the north - 1000 DP. Push the last box of the three down two spaces, then
go through the hidden path immediately to your left. Get the box for 1500 DP.
Go back to the crevice where you found the 1000 DP and head through the hole
in the wall to the right. Follow the path around until you get to the pair of
boxes. Push the one to the right over one space; it will go into a niche in
the wall. Follow the path up the stairs and then down again; turn around and
follow the lower path to a box with "Krebons". Return to the box that you
pushed into the hole in the wall. There is a box a few spaces to the south of
that box; push it all the way along the corridor and into the wall. The girl
we're looking for (what side quest? Oh, that one) is just to the north, but
we'll ignore her for now. How cruel. Push the southernmost box of the three
visible ones right one space, then both of the others up one space. Grab the
contents of the box in the corner, "Magical Android". There's a few things
left to get, but that annoying little girl is blocking your way, so talk to
her. You'll automatically teleport out with her and have a little scene with
her mom, who will give you "Autonomous Action Unit" as a reward. You can now
duel Natsumi, by the way. Reenter the box room and retrace your steps to where
Hana was. This time, push the middle box to the right one space. Push the
southernmost box down one space, then follow the path with the stairs into the
other corner. Claim your box; it contains a Star Chip! One last thing to get.
Push the northernmost box to the right one space, then follow the hidden path
(you can see it on your minimap) until you encounter resistance. Examine it
for 2000 DP. Continue along the path, then push the box to the left three
spaces to escape. Woot! Side quest complete!

------------------------------
-Finding a New Home for the Psychic Duelists-
------------------------------

Head to the world map however you please (from the previous side quest, head
right all the way). Select "Arcadia Movement"; we've got some stuff to clean
up here. From the entrance, head into the alcove to the right. In the corner
is a box with "Nobleman of Crossout". Go all the way north to the destroyed
Arcadia Movement HQ; you'll see our old pals Okita and Liquid standing
forlornly at its ruins. Talk to them. They'll reveal that they have no place
to go now. How sad! We've obviously got to help them. By the way, notice that
you can still go to the practice stadium where Check and Nino are to finish up
those Duel Puzzles and Structure Duels from ages ago. When you're done messing
around, head to the world map and to "New DominoCity". Head due south and down
the stairs into DAIMON Area. Go to Blister's place (don't tell me you forgot
where that was). In the lobby, there's a box with "Fissure". Talk to Blister,
and you'll explain Okita and Liquid's situation to him. He'll agree to let
them use his spare room. Go back to Okita and Liquid at the Arcadia Movement
and talk to them. You'll teleport over to Blister's place, and the two go all
ga-ga over how awesome everything is (especially you). They'll give you
"Hyper Psychic Blaster/Assault Mode" and "Hyper Psychic Blaster" for your
trouble. The two will have a little married-couple argument about who's in
charge. Seems like Okita's the resident dominatrix. That's another one down.

------------------------------
-The Facility Chief-
------------------------------
Head over the the fenced-off area in DAIMON Area where Peko (the Structure
Duel girl) is, and examine the white poster on the north wall. Okay, sure.
Head south and east to the next area, then take the north path at the fork.
Talk to the fat guy standing in front of the prison-like building. Hello,
Security Chief!

| Chief here has a fetish for cards with "Chain" in their name, regardless of
| whether they actually fit in the deck or not. Regardless, this duel will
| soon become very annoying. The Iron Chain archetype attempts to swarm the
| field with Repairman and annoy the heck out of you with everything else. Of
| course, on top of everything else, Iron Chain attempts to deck you out as
| well, and uses cards like Poison Chain and Paralyzing Chain to use those
| deck-out effects to their advantage. Put a big beatstick on the field and
| you'll have nothing to fear, but make sure to win before Chief can reduce
| your deck to alarmingly low levels.

He'll give you your prize, and that ends this side quest.

| This guy runs on pure beatdown. His deck is stuffed with high-powered
| monsters plus ATK-boosting cards like Forest and Rush Recklessly. If he
| manages to put any kind of field presence down before you can respond,
| you're pretty much dead. Mad Dog of Darkness with Forest is a realistic
| first-turn 2100 ATK that you can expect to see, with perhaps a face-down
| Rush Recklessly and DDV/Threatening Roar to make sure Dog doesn't go to
| waste and/or you can't run over it. Pack lots of destruction and something
| like Burden of the Mighty if your deck isn't fast enough to swarm the field
| before Bolt gets one of his beatsticks on the field. He'll be up for a
| rematch if you lose, so keep trying if you can't score the win.
|______________________________

Bolt hands you "Bolt's Challenge" once you win, which says "A letter to spice
up a room where a heated battle over love is being fought." Wherever could
that be? Head back into New Domino City proper and keep heading west to the
stadium. Go inside, and the dude in armor (Randsborg) will tell you something
that will give everything dead away. Go inside the waiting room (door to the
right of Randsborg). Examine the little space heater in the northeastern
corner for "Foolish Burial". Side quest complete!

------------------------------
-The Dark Mists-
------------------------------

Talk to Crow, who is standing next to Yusei at the highway at the end of
Satellite: Slum. Head to B.A.D. Area and go down south to the area with the
old control units that we shut down during the final chapter. Head to the next
area to the west, where we fought Kalin. There's a box with "Zoma the Spirit"
next to the control unit, and a suspicious purple mist in front of it. Prepare
to duel, and examine the cloud. Select "... ... ...". Oh wait, that's both
options. Hur hur hur. Pick the first one to begin a chain Turbo Duel with the
Dark Signers (Greiger, Kalin, Carly, and Rex). They all have the same decks as
before, so just search those up for strategies if you need to. Also, there are
no longer any special rules applied to any of the duels. One final thing to
note: you will retain your LP from duel to duel, with a certain limit (you can
only carry over a maximum of 10,000 LP), so be sure to include some healing in
your Turbo Deck.

Once you're done with that bit of hell, you'll be rewarded with "Spell
Absorption". If you want to do it again for whatever strange reason, the
purple mist won't disappear, so just talk to it again. Now, onwards to the
next one!

Go back to the first area and head south this time. There's a box with "Future
Visions" in the crack to the southeast. Continue on to the next area. There's
a box with "Psychic Lifetrancer" in the space to the left of the control unit
here. Keep going, to where you dueled Roman. Before you examine the dark cloud
here, head north, past the cloud, to the end of the walkway. There's a box
with "Underground Arachnid" there. Now, prepare for another no-break duel
series, but this time, it's regular (not Turbo) duels. Devack, Misty, Roman
and Rex are your opponents, and "Spell Shattering Arrow" your prize. Talk to
Crow to tell him what was there, and head over to the hideout when you're
ready.

Talk to Kalin, who's just inside. He'll mention that there's like...something
in his room. Uh. Right. Head to the meeting room on the top floor, and get
ready for Survivor: Yu-Gi-Oh! Style season three. You're up against all of
your buddies from Team Enforcers in this one: Crow, Yusei, Jack, and Kalin. Be
thankful, for this series will be far easier than the Dark Signer ones. You'll
get "Magical Arm Shield" for winning. Talk to Kalin to update him on the mist.
Head over to the Duel Stadium in New Domino City. Talk to the MC in the main
hallway. He's near the north exit that leads to the Stadium proper. Once he's
through, go through said exit and head south. The final dark cloud is there.
Examine it when you're ready; this series will also be ground (not Turbo)
duels. Your opponents are Jack (Majestic Red Dragon deck), Luna (Bad Reaction
to Simochi deck), Akiza (Black Garden deck), and Yusei (Majestic Star Dragon
deck) (who else?). Your reward is "Mage Power" and the satisfaction of knowing
that you're done! Well, of course, after talking to the MC again.

Or not.

---
-Side Side Quest: Changing Your Face-
---

Head back to the square at New Domino City. Luna's at the northeastern corner,
so talk to her and select the option to "Go to Spirit World". Do so again and
Luna will teleport you there. Torunka's just a bit to the northeast. Talk to
him, and he'll reveal the secret behind the dark mists, as well as give you
"Anti-Spell Fragrance" as a reward for defeating them all! On top of that,
every time you win a duel against him now, he'll change your face! Woot!

The problem is that your new face is completely random, so you might have to
duel him several times to get a face you like. Have fun!

WHOOHOO WE ARE DONE

Well, there's still a lot of stuff to find and collect, and Akiza's challenge
to beat, but yeah.

WHOOHOO WE ARE DONE UNTIL THE NEXT UPDATE

==============================
= V. -Bonuses-

ABOUT THE GAME

ABOUT PLAYING THE GAME
ABOUT THE GAMING EXPERIENCE
WHAT IS THIS?

---
ABOUT THE GAME
---

Q: How many cards does this game have?

A: 3556.

Q: Which booster does this game go up to?

A: Absolute Powerforce (ABPF). The Shining Darkness (TSHD) is NOT in the game.

Q: Some cards are missing!

A: Yeah, they are. They're either really old or TCG exclusives; World
Championship games go by the OCG (Official Card Game, the Japanese part of
Yu-Gi-Oh!) Check the following link for more info.

http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/yugioh_5ds_wc2010_missing.txt

Q: Why should I get this game?/This game or Tag Force 4 for the PSP?
A: Three simple reasons: This game is more up to date, but TF4 has anime-
exclusive cards. You can play online with both, but all you need for this
game is Wi-Fi access, and PSPs require either a PS3 or Kai. Finally, TF4
focuses on the dreaded Tag Duels, which are essentially 3 vs. 1, and this
game gets the bonus (?) of Turbo Duels.

Q: Can you trade cards via Wi-Fi?

A: No. Too bad.

Q: Can you connect to an older game like Stardust Accelerator: World

Championship 2009?
A: No. Too bad.

Q: Can different releases connect to each other, like Japanese to US?

A: Yes.

Q: Is X card in this game?/How do I get X card?

A: Brb, headdesking.

Go here if you still need answers:

---
ABOUT PLAYING THE GAME
---

Q: I'm a noob to Yu-Gi-Oh! What should I do?

A: Play the tutorial, or buy a Structure Deck in real life and RTFM.

Q: Help me with my deck?

A: Post it on the board. People will either tell you it's terrible or fix it
for you. Search for "R/F" topics for an idea of how to format your deck
list. If people tell you it's terrible, then I'm sorry, but it's terrible.
Read through the following guide for an idea of how to improve. It's
slightly outdated but still extremely helpful.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/955057/56716

Q: I need DP! A lot! Quickly! How?

A: Race. Read the following link for more information.

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=978594&topic=53735855

Q: How do I enter a card password?/I'm entering my card password correctly,

but it's not working! Why not?
A: Go to the Shop in World Championship mode and select Password. Enter the
password for the card you want and you'll have to pay an amount of DP that
varies for each card for it. If it's not working, it's because you need to
either have at least one copy of the card already or 80% of the pack list
for the pack the card is in in the game.

Q: Where can I get the Dark Signer/mask face?

A: See "-Side Side Quest: Changing Your Face-", and review this topic for good
measure:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=978594&topic=53744315

Q: Action Replay codes!/Game ID!

A: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=978594&topic=53621498
Do note that the codes for the Japanese version WILL WORK on the US
version, but the Game ID is different.

Q: I did something funny and the game told me "Missed your chance!" and didn't
let me activate the effect I wanted. What does that mean?
A: It means you missed the timing. See the following link for an explanation.

Q: How can I get the Egyptian God Cards (Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky
Dragon, and The Winged Dragon of Ra)?
A: They'll be download cards at a yet unknown date. There is no other way to
get them, unless you use an Action Replay.

---
WHAT IS THIS?
---

Q: What are Star Chips for?

A: There's a girl southwest of the card shop in B.A.D. Area dressed in a
sailor fuku, named Chihiro. She'll trade you good stuff for Star Chips,
like cards with alternate artwork, Duel Runner frames, and new costumes and
Duel Disks.
Q: What are Wi points for?
A: You can trade them in for cards and a special engine.

Q: You know that box thing that shows up in the menu below the boxes with my
name and deck name? It's full of little icons, but I don't know what they
mean! What are they?
A: You get an icon for reaching a certain achievement. For example, you'll get
a Time Wizard icon for 100 hours of play time, and a binder-like icon for
100% card completion. I don't think there's a full list at the moment, so
stay tuned.

Q: What's the pentagon thing with the five icons at the points?
A: It's your stat pentagon, and it shows what other people think of your
dueling style. If you have a Wi-Fi duel, at the end, your opponent will
have to select one of five descriptive statements about your dueling style
and their responses will be reflected in the pentagon.

Q: What are duelist titles? How can I change mine?

A: You're assigned a title when you go on Wi-Fi. It changes according to your
stat pentagon.

Q: What's the number below my deck name before I duel? Regardless of what it
is, it's 0! How do I change it?
A: It's your Wi-Fi ranking number. It increases every time you win a Wi-Fi
duel, and your ranking will get penalized for every time you disconnect
from a Wi-Fi duel, regardless of whether it was accidental or on purpose.
In-game opponents will have a preset ranking number that reflects their
dueling prowess, and it can change during tournaments, when AI opponents
duel each other. However, yours cannot change by dueling AI opponents.

Q: What are download cards?

A: Cards that you can download from Wi-Fi. You'll get one copy of it, and it
changes every day. See the following link for a list.

http://bit.ly/bN9vcO

Q: What does setting a card as my "Key Card" in Deck Construction do?

A: Nothing. Well, it gets you a fancy animation if you use it in a duel and a
small DP bonus, but that's about it.

---
ABOUT THE GAMING EXPERIENCE
---

Q: How can I get rid of that accursed "Do you want to finish checking cards?"
message?
A: Go to the Options menu, then open up Duel Settings. Select "OFF" for
"Display Card Details". You can also turn off chain messages here.

Q: How can I get rid of those accursed blue/pink square animations while
dueling? They make everything laggy!
A: You can't. Sorry, but too bad.

Q: How can I make the AI opponent stop giving me that stupid "....." thinking
bubble thing? It's so sloooow!
A: You can't. Sorry, but too bad.
Q: Why are there banned cards in this game?/How do I remove the banlist?
A: To look pretty, and so nobody complains on the off chance that a banned
card is taken off the list. You cannot remove the banlist, but you can
unlock a special banlist that allows you to use just one copy of any banned
card in your deck. There is an Action Replay code to remove the banlist, if
that concerns you. See the following question.

Q: My game isn't working! It crashes when I choose "Story Mode" or when I try
to enter a duel in "World Championship Mode"!
A: Buy the game.

---

Q: I've got another question that hasn't been answered! Whatever shall I do?
A: Post it on the message board. If you're in dire straits or think you have
a question that should be answered in this walkthrough/FAQ, e-mail me.
