Summary of grammar
Note the following:
1. Revision of the modal verbs mégen/ich méchte, diirfen
Modal verbs modify the meaning of a sentence. They can be used as the
main verb or as an auxiliary verb. When used as an auxiliary verb, they
cannot stand on their own. They require a second verb (Verb,), which always
comes at the end of the sentence.

2. Revision of the present tense of irregular verbs
(verbs which take an umlaut or change their vowel)
To form the second and third person singular in the present tense, many
verbs:
a) add an umlaut: for example, the a4 changes to 4.
b) change their vowel: for example, the e changes to 7.

A number of verbs in German have a separable prefix, for example, ab, an-,
mit-. In the present tense, the prefix is placed at the end of the sentence.
