Refugees mostly came from low-income country (LIC) to high-income country (HIC). children have experienced many
extremely stressful events because of refugee impact . Refugee itself refers to a person or a group of people who has been
forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution or violence. According to UNHCR (2014), the highest number
of refugees came from Syria, nearly 5 million people. Most of refugees came from Middle East and North Africa, they are
Palestinians, Syrians, Iraqis, Afghans, and others. The data of refugees 5–18 years old living in Turkey state that there are total
of 89 children were interviewed and among these children, 47 (52.8%) had come from Syria, 27 (30.3%) from Iraq, 14 (15.7%)
from Afghanistan, and 1 (1.1%) from Iran. Almost all of them cannnot return back to home or are afraid to do so. They were
live in refugee camps, which are often crowded with large number of people living in very poor living conditions. Food security,
unhygiene shelter, lack of health care services also education and other problems makes them have to face high poverty
rates, feelings of beredom, restlessness and hopeless, and due to this problems the violence and crime happened in refugee
camps. These problems leads the children to have mental disorders. Children who are the suffered from refugee might have
unforgetable painful childhood memories. They have to deal with the reality that could separate them from their family,
tortured, loss of property, and go out of their comfort zone which is their home in order to survive for their life. In this case,
refugee play a great impact on causing lots of mental disorders in children. This could be traumatic-stress disorders,
depression, anxiety and others. This is have to be the main concern for us to taking care of refugee children. There are many
factors cause the high ratio of refugees and the mentally impacts on children. Refugee impacts could stay for a long time or
continuously for the children who deal with it. The highest rate of mental problems that caused by refugee are traumatic-
stress disorders, depression and anxiety. Many children still struggling to agaist and suffer from these illness. For Syrian
refugees, the number on traumatic-stress disorders incidence increase from 41 to 76% for children. Traumatic-stress
disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur in people who have experienced or triggered by a excruciating events. The
symptoms may vary over time or vary for every person. In school-aged children, symptoms may include flashbacks,
exaggerated startle responses, poor concentration, sleep disturbance, complaints of physical discomfort and conduct
problems. Nearly 50 million children have been experienced refugee. This is includes millions of children caught in wars in
Syria, Iraq, Yemen and South Sudan. According to the U.N., almost half of all Syrian refugees — roughly 2.7 million — are
under the age of 18. The second impact of refugee for children is depression. It is a mood disorder that causes a persistent
feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Depressive symptoms were more evident in children who had experienced separation
from their parents and displacement than those who remained with their parents. In younger children, the symptoms may
include sadness, irritability, clinginess, worry, aches and pains, refusing to go to school, or being underweight. Cambodian
refugees are the most widely studied group; in a study of 46 children, 10% experienced anxiety. Children with anxiety may feel
overly anxious to fit in, be a perfectionist, redo tasks because they aren't perfect the first time, spend excessive time doing
homework and lack confidence. Anxiety usually occurs with other mental health problems such as phobias and panic
disorders. The effects of mental illness may be minimalised by treatment. It can be psychological therapy, medication, and
various supports in the community. The people who have mental illness can help themselves by eating healthy diet, getting
enough sleep, and doing regular physical activities. Look after themselves by learning new skills can help the to deal with
stress, upset or the other symptoms of the illness. In conclusion, the action to forced a group of individual to leave their
country because of unpleasant events may cause the children as victim having mental illness and have to suffer from that
problems. Traumatic-stress disorders, depression and anxiety are the major mental disorders that most of refugee children
experienced. These problem can be solved by treatment from professional psychiatrist.
