M.Tech Admissions (July 2020)

Department of Civil Engineering at IIT
Hyderabad is now accepting applications for
2-Year M.Tech under MHRD funding and
3-Year M.Tech under Project funding for
July 2020 session in the following specializations
Environmental Engineering
Structural Engineering
Hydraulic and
Water Resources Engineering
Geotechnical Engineering
GENERAL INFORMATION
• For 2-Year M.Tech: Admissions will be purely based on GATE score.
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid GATE score in
Civil Engineering. Currently, 2-year M.Tech admissions are offered in all
disciplines under MHRD funding mode.
• For 3-Year M.Tech: Admissions will be based on the written test /
personal interview. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree and a
valid GATE score in Civil Engineering is desirable. For July 2020 session
3-Year M.Tech, applications are invited only in Structural Engineering.
• Only first two preferences of chosen specializations filled in the
application form will be considered.
• IIT Graduates
- Do not need a GATE score but must have a CGPA of 8.00.
- The selected applicants will have to provide research / teaching
assistance of upto 8 hours per week.

RESERVATION
The reservation of the seats will be made as per the Government of
India norms.

http://www.iith.ac.in/mtechadmissions on or before the deadline.

RESULTS
• List of selected applicants under each round will be released from
time to time.
• Selected applicants will be communicated through e-mails.
• The list will also be made available on departmental web page.
• Applicants should ensure the accuracy of the email provided and
check their email regularly for updates.
• Note: Offers will be made as per COAP guidelines.
