Chances are that the last new car you shopped
for wasn’t all that expensive. It was the price
of the extra cost options that got to you.
May we present Volvo.
The three 1971 models in the 140 Series,
on the left, feature a rugged 118-hp engine,
4-wheel power disc brakes and reclining
bucket seats designed by orthopedic surgeons,
not stylists. As standard equipment.
The elegant 164, on the right, also has,
as standard, power steering, whitewall radial
tires, leather upholstered seats and a 145-hp
6-cylinder engine.
And all of these Volvos are equipped with
tinted glass on all windows and an electric
rear window defroster. Plus features you
can’t put a price on, like a huge trunk,
practical aluminum bumpers and six coats of
primer and paint.
There are many other standard Volvo
features we’d like to show and demonstrate
to you. A test drive is optional, at no extra cost.
