HARMONIC FILTERS
Harmonic filters provide a higher
suppression of current harmonic.
It’s a perfect alternative to
multipulse rectifier circuits that
results in higher efficiency. In
addition, it limits the negative
effect of the frequency drive on the
power supply network.
CORE PRODUCTS
LC FILTERS
LC filters are used to protect the
motor insulation, increase their
service life and reduce the motor
noise level which is powered by a
frequency drive. LC filters are
installed at the output of the
converter and change the shape of
the output voltage generated by
PWM, eliminating the higher
harmonics that can cause
additional losses both in the cable
line and in the motor.
LINE CHOKES
Line chokes are a universal solution
for general industrial applications.
This chokes type is designed to
improve the electromagnetic
compatibility of variable frequency
drives with the supply network.
The main responsibilities of the
Line choke are harmonic
protection; protection against
voltage sags, interference in the
network; equipment runlife
increase; power factor increase.
KA-TET designs chokes with specific
requirements if needed as well.
MOTOR CHOKES
Motor chokes are widely used in
AC circuits of variable frequency
drive systems. Being installed at
the frequency drive output, motor
choke protects the drive from
overvoltages impulses and short
circuits in the load. Depending on
the drive system, the choke has to
perform many tasks as ensuring
continuity and smoothing of motor
current pulses, as well as
suppressing switching overvoltages
and compensating the supply line
power.
