 Should You Learn a Language in the Classroom or Through Immersion?

2. Respond to the questions below (based on the 2 articles):

 In relation to “language”, “culture” and “society”, is it better to learn the

National Language and the English Language formally or informally? Provide
3 points for your stand. Justify your points by making references to the two
articles.

In my opinion, the National Language (Malay) and the English

Language should be learned informally. Experts believe that the best time to
learn or teach something is during young ages. It is due to children’s brain are
able to learn things faster than adult. When languages (Malay and English) are
taught informally when they are young, they can absorb faster and master the
language in a shorter period of time. Other than that, when a family uses
Malay and English as a medium of communication in home, they are actually
learning that language informally too. In this process, they are slowly learning
and improving the skills of that language indirectly. Lastly, Malay and English
are also better to be learned informally because this medium of learning is less
stress compared to a formal way of learning. Some people find that it is easier
 to learn in a less stress situation. Therefore, these two languages can also be
learned through context such as entertainments that includes musics, movies
and so on.
