I am Filipino by ethnicity. My country of citizenship is

I already earned a Bachelor of Science in Health

Education and Behaviour in 2011, followed by a
Master of Science in the same field in 2012 from the
University of Florida. Currently, I am pursuing a
third degree and an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in
Nursing. I am a Burn/Trauma ICU registered Nurse
in Orlando, Florida.

I have one older brother named TJ and a deceased

For more or less five years since I have first read
the A Place in Time, I really just read the story but I didn’t
mind about the author. Well, I knew that she was j_harry08
in Wattpad and I just knew her real name which is Jessica
Concha when we were tasked to present our favourite
story a year later in our English class and just today,
because of this task that was given to us for our Creative
Writing class, I was able to know more about the author.
When I first read Jessica’s answer when she was asked
about her siblings, “I have one older brother named TJ and
a deceased younger brother named Jasper,” I just realized
that her poetic muse on this story were her brothers. The
male protagonist in the story was named Terrence Kelvin
Quintero and by the end of the story, Terrence died due to
heart failure. So I think that her brothers were her poetic
muse on writing the story.
C R E A T I V E MIND
I can say that Jessica Concha has a creative mind
since the three marks of literariness: (1) semantic density),
(2) reregistration and (3) emotional transport was visible in
the story. I am really amazed while reading A Place in
Time. At first, it was the typical kind of story introducing the
characters and everything but as it goes on there comes
the emotional transport and it doesn’t descend as I am
finishing the story. I got lots of laugh and love. I got twitter
patted with the story of the protagonists Shaylie and
Terrence that, funny as you can say, but there starts that I
have set my standards on relationships and finding my “the
one”. The story also tackles on the physical, mental,
emotional, social and spiritual aspects. If I would be
reading that story again, well, I actually have read it again,
it would still be my favourite story.
 I learned various lessons from the author that is indirectly
stated in the story. First is about our physical and social aspect.
We shouldn’t make our illnesses or disabilities be a hinder to gain
some friends. In the story, Terrence’s deep secret is his heart
failure and that’s the reason why he didn’t socialize with others
because he was afraid to get attached with them and cause them
pain when he already leave this world. I learned that since all of
us will die when the time comes and we only live once, why don’t
we make use of it? Let’s live life to the fullest. Second is about
our mental and emotional aspect. Having someone to talk to and
be with every time you feel like being the only one against
everyone else will lift your mood and will make you feel better.
Being a listener and an adviser will not just make you grow as a
person but will make you as an instrument for others to make
them feel better. The third one is about our spiritual aspect. That
whatever happens to our lives, may it be good or bad, we should
lift them up to God. Because He is the reason behind our
happiness and He has reasons and better plans for our
loneliness. In the story, even though Terrence is different from
the rest, he didn’t blame God for it and still is being faithful. He
died on the shoulders of Shaylie in the house of God.
