IntroversionIntrovertions and extroversionts and the two main characteristics of one's

personality. An introvert's traits are independence, deep thinking, and reservedness. While
extrovertsHowever, extroverts express themselves by being social, outgoing, and friendly.
Introverts prefer being by themselves at home and being isolated from society. But, extroverts
are quite the opposite of introverts. Extroverts relax by going out with their friends or meeting
new people. Those two personalities perceive questions and situations differently. Extroverts
and introverts revolve around people they are comfortable with or have fun with.
The MBTI test is a personality test that gives you 100 psychological questions. After
answering the questions, it categorizes your traits into 1 out of the 16 personality types that best
suits you. It also provides information about your strengths and weaknesses, romantic
relationships, careers, and more. After taking the MBTI test, my results showed that I am an
INTP. They are also known as logicians. I am 89% introverted and find it more difficult talking to
people. When I had friends, I would never plan and always cancel on hanging out with them.
Finding the perfect time to hang out was challenging, and I ended up stressing about it. It took a
lot for me to initiate the first text or conversation. Moving on, I know how someone is feeling
without them saying anything, and that is where the intuition part of MBTI comes in. The T in my
MBTI is thinking; I feel more reassured in decisions and when I rely on my mind than my heart.
If I relied on my heart more, I would regret my decisions in life. The last letter is between judging
and prospecting, and my test results were prospecting. I see that I am more open to different
environments and people than trying to change them. Taking the MBTI test, I was able to
analyze the meaning of each letter and my personality.
When I was 12 years old, I was introduced to the MBTI test for the first time. I have
taken the test about 3 times and have gone from being an entertainer to a logician. An
entertainer, also known as ESFP, is one of the most extroverted personality types. When I was
an ESFP, I had more energy and enjoyed being in the spotlight. But, I was only comfortable
being myself with my close family. The second time I took the test, I got INTP, and I understood
myself more as I grew older. As an introvert, I struggle with making friends and opening up to
them. I never felt close to any of my friends and never talked about my family or struggles.
Which annoyed me because it was always a one-sided friendship. Instead, I started to focus on
myself and my hobbies. An INTP I relate to and admire is a Kpop idol named Sakura. Sakura is
someone I look up to and rely on. She enjoys her free time alone and doing her hobbies. I liked
how independent she is but also loving to her members. I find comfort in watching Sakura and
sympathizing with her. Even though I found the MBTI that suits me, I miss being extroverted and
being able to talk to anyone.
My sister and I have different personalities and traits. She is an ENFP and enjoys going
out with her friends, and she gets her energy from talking and listening to people. My sister's
extroverted personality is easygoing and friendly. She is good at talking and making friends,
unlike me. I lack those traits that she has. When my sister wanted to hang out with her friend but
was worried because she had a lot of homework to catch up on. In the end, 4 hours had
passed, and she was still with her friend. Even though she had a lot of homework, she still had
time to socialize and hang out. For me, I can not hang out with my friends for that long and
would be too stressed out about my homework to even hang out. Recently, we went to Kcon
and wanted to see some Kpop idols there. Our eating and sleeping schedule was terrible
because we were also attending concerts. We were going to see a Kpop group at the
convention, and we happened to be close to where they would appear. I was starving because
we went straight to Kcon without eating breakfast or lunch. I couldn't wait any longer to eat, so I
told my sister if we could go eat. She was okay and could go without eating because she would
see Kpop idols. My sister is extroverted; she gets energy from being around people and even
forgets to eat. But, being introverted, I need to eat and take a break from being in a big crowd.
My sister and I get our energy from different environments and things. Even though my sister
has one of the most introverted extroverted personalities, she enjoys socializing, while I prefer
to stay home.
In the novel Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, I sympathize with
Ari the most, seeing that he is more introverted than extroverted. In the book, Ari admits that he
doesn't make many friends, which reminded me of myself. Ari also talks about how he doesn't
think he and Dante will stay friends while Dante is in Chicago. When Ari said that, I remembered
having the same situation. An old friend of mine moved to Georgia for a couple of years, but I
never talked to her. Introverts rarely keep in touch with people that are away. Dante said he
would send letters to Ari, but Ari doesn't think he will reply to them.
Ari relies on his intuition more than the way he feels seeing when he saves Dante from
getting run over by a car in the book. Ari used his gut feeling and knew something was wrong. I
use my intuition when I sense something is odd or bothering me. I also perceive Ari as the
Judging type because he questioned his parents for not talking about his older brother, who is in
prison. Ari sees that there are no pictures of him and feels like they disowned them. He doesn't
like how they don't talk about him. In the book, Ari judges Dante for saying sorry when Ari was
in the hospital injured and decides to set rules, for example, don't talk about the accident, stop
saying sorry, and so on. I don't relate to Ari this way, but I see where he is coming from. As an
introvert, you don't enjoy being in the spotlight, and everyone's attention is on you. If I was in
Ari's shoes, I would've done the same thing in not wanting to talk about the accident. I
sympathize with Ari more than with Dante since Ari is introverted.
Understanding the difference between introverts and extroverts is essential to
learning about their strengths, weaknesses, and traits. Besides that, introverts and extroverts
balance and attract each other. In my opinion, an extrovert and introvert friendship would last
longer than a relationship with the same personality. They both surround themselves with
people whom they find exciting and comfortable. The MBTI test is a way to get to know
someone better and maybe sympathize with them. I enjoy taking the MBTI test to see if it
changes or understanding of other people's MBTI. With over 16 personalities, there is much to
talk about each MBTI and how they deal with their situations. All MBTIs have their importance
and strengths. I love being a logician and knowing more about myself.
