Choice of Crops

Leafy Greens / Short Cycle Crops Vegetables / Vine Crops

Leafy Greens / Short Cycle crops have a lifecycle of 4-6 weeks, provide for quicker turnaround, and frequent cash-flows.
Vegetables / Vine crops have a lifecycle of 90 - 180 days, good shelf life, and operationally easier to manage.
Choice of Technology - NFT
Common crops grown
using NFT system

Lettuce, Rocket, Kale, Swiss

Chard, Italian Basil, Parsley, Tat-
Soi, Bok-Choy, Mint, Coriander,
Spinach, Amaranthus, etc.

NFT system can be set-up in a horizontal orientation parallel to the ground or a vertical orientation that
optimises on usage of vertical space.

Plant by plant, both NFT and DWC provide similar yields. While DWC involves less investment and running
costs, NFT allows for ergonomic designs and optimal use of vertical space.

For growing plants that gain height and have larger root structure, Dutch Bucket provides an ideal growing

Our R&D facility is spread over two extremely divergent climatic

zones (Bangalore & Ahmedabad). This gives us the wherewithal and
experience to manage the most challenging growing environments.

We own the technology, have developed proprietary nutrient formulations

tested extensively in our research farms, and manufacture majority of the
growing system components in-house. This allows us to keep the costs low and
pass on the price benefit to our customers.
