All About Mammals

Mammals are animals like dogs, horses, lions, cows and monkeys.

Mammals are warm-blooded. They can live in hot or cold countries.

A camel can live in a hot desert while a polar bear lives in a land of snow and ice.

The mother feeds their babies with their own milk.


Mammals are covered with fur or hair. If a mammal lives in a cold country,the hair is
often
long. If it lives in a hot country , the fur is usually short.

The tail of the bird helps it to turn or stop when it is flying.

Birds do not have teeth but have a beak instead.

Most birds build a nest in which to lay their eggs.
