Thave known Nicholas (“Nick”) in a professional capacity since 2016. At that time, | was Director of Special Education for the Etiwanda School District, and I hired Nick as an Instructional Assistant within my department. As his supervisor during that time, I am, knowledgeable about Nick’s abilities and work ethics and am able to provide him with this recommendation letter. s tenure with Etiwanda, he worked as an Instructional Assistant at one of our junior high schools, providing 1:1 behavioral and academic support for a student with significant behavioral needs. Nick was able to collaborate with teaching staff to learn curriculum and how to accommodate the curriculum according to his student’s needs. He was a natural in this respect; he knew how to support, yet challenge. During Nick’ When Nick decided to enroll in a teacher credential program, I was thrilled. I know that his credential program has prepared him well in the foundations of teaching. As a District administrator who spends a great deal of time ewing and supervising teachers, I know that while you can teach someone the ins and outs of being an educator, you can’t teach someone to have a heart for students. Nick has that and more — he has all the qualities a good teacher should have. He is compassionate, dedicated, and “connects” with students.
