ROCK AL PARQUE

This is the largest free festival in Hispanic-American and Latin America and the third
largest in the world. This festival has been held since 1994 in the City of Bogotá, in the
Simón Bolívar metropolitan park.
The attendance at the event is 2014 (two thousand fourteen) was massive and
surpassed (surpast) the record for previous years. approximately 14,000(fourteen
thousand) people attended.

The first edition it had been made in 1995, as an initiative of the singer Mario Duarte
member of the band “The Right”, this event is organized for (IDT) Instituto Distrital de
cultura y Turismo, this event which takes place in the Simón Bolívar park, usually
attend approximately 400,000 people during the three days of celebration, the entry of
weapons and alcoholic beverages is not allowed.

The festival presents bands national and international, there are many band, local,
national artist, Distrital, on the other hand a tribute to the Bogota metal, this festival has

various scenarios; with of musical gendres such as: punk, reggue, jazz, black
metal,hard Rock among others, this event is the most popular in Colombia, I frequently
attend Rock al Parque with my friends and my sister, this experience is very
amanzing , also attendees participate in differents concurses and they win prizes.
Different people from Colombia and the world attend this event, they wear rock clothes
And very funny hairstyles.

The festival is broadcast live over Canal Capital, a local public television channel,
and Radiónica, a public radio network. Finally, I recommend this festival because is a
