Over the course of the past few decades, the church has struggled to remain in power

with the threat of Arianism on the rise. The teachings of Arianism are focused on the denial of
the Messiah that was brought down to earth to save those who wished to be saved from their
sins. The church, while strong in its faith, cannot continue to withstand the false and misleading
information provided to the public by Arius, the founder of the namesake doctrine. The Bible,
the official word of God and book of the Christian faith, list multiple times the true identity of
Christ, and what he was sent on earth to do. Disregarding such information, all for the sake of
power in a heresy demonitizes the Christian religion and creates a tension that should not exist.

Jesus Christ, deemed in the Bible as the Lord and Savior to all, is both a divine being, and
a human being. Those who follow Arianism have misunderstood the meaning of the phrase, and
have taught others that Jesus was simply a human, with some divine abilities. Jesus, as promised,
was the Son of God sent down from above to save the world from its sins. When Gabriel came to
Mary to bring forth to her the news, he proclaimed that the Son of God must be born of a human
in order to live out His life here on earth. “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favour with
God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He
will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne
of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never
end.' 'How will this be,' Mary asked the angel, 'since I am a virgin?'The angel answered, 'The
Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the
holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a
child in her old age, and she who was said to be barren is in her sixth month. For nothing is
impossible with God.' 'I am the Lord's servant,' Mary answered. 'May it be to me as you have
said.' Then the angel left her.” (Luke 1:26-38). Arianism takes the fundamentals of what is said
about Jesus in the Bible, but then it is twisted and misconstrued across many different nations,
and into the ears of many different people, creating an uprising against the church and what it
stands for.

In the lessons taught by Arianist, it is believed that Christ was not of the firstborn Son of
God, but He was the first creation. Although the idea is similar to the truth, it is still not entirely
factual. When reading Romans 8:29, it is clear that Christ is mentioned as the firstborn son of
God who would be sent down to do His good deeds across the land. By falsely quoting the Bible,
and reducing the redeemer to someone who was but a mere “first creation”, creates only mor
division between both Christians and Arianist alike. Like in many families, the firstborn son
brings great honor to his family, and while Mary and Joseph raised Jesus, he was truly the Son of
God, a divine being, but living in a human world. Jesus himself said in John 8:58; 10:30, that He
was the one true Son of God, but that He and God were also one entity, further proving that those
who preach on Arianism have misinformed people of the Bible and its true teachings.
The greatest threat of all to the church with the rise of Arianism, is the mistreatment of
those who only wish to set Christianitys history and facts straight. In many cases, bishops have
been exiled or executed for speaking on the harm Arianism is doing to the church. Those who
perform such deeds are usually those in power, unable to see the irony in the fact that essentially,
they are doing the same thing to Christians. To be a Christian in such times means secrecy and
caution, for the stronger the tensions grow, and the more powerful the Arianism movement
becomes, the harder it is for the church to get back on its feet. With continued claims coming out
about the Bible and the statements declaring Jesus and Christians liers, has cost many churches
their entire congregation. By continuing to allow for a group of people to publish and spread
false information on the church, shows those who left the religion that coming back is okay,
since nothing has been done, these accusations must be true.

In a time of desperation, all Christians must unite together to find a way to stop the
heresy of Arianism from putting false and misconstrued information out to the general public,
and to halt any attacks on the church or its people. The Arianist are only as strong as their word
is, and if their words are proven to be false, with confidence and strategy, those who believe in
Christ may worship freely, without second guessing their Savior, and those who wish to continue
to defy Jesus may do so as well, but without the negative impacts on the church and state as a
whole.
