I-Objectives

After 1 hour the pupils will be able to:


1. Identify compound words.
2. Appreciate the use of verbs in multiletiracy.
3. Form compound words.

B. Motivation

1. The teacher will show picture of a sun and flower.

2. The teacher will call a volunteer to write the name of each picture.

3. The teacher will call another volunteer to write the two words in one word.

4. The teacher will ask:

What are the names of this picture?

What word would it be we are going to combine the two words?


Is the combined word the same meaning with sun and flower?

Activity

1. The teacher will group the class into 5 groups


2. The teacher will provide a strip in each group. Let them write the meaning of
the given compound words
3. After 5, minutes, one of the representative of each group will report their
correct answers.

Analysis

1. What did you observed with the compound words in your activity?
2. How did you find the meaning of these words?

A compound word is a combination of two or more words that give a new


meaning. Something , a hypen is used to connect the words to form the
compound word.

Abstraction

The teacher will generalize the lesson.

Application

Underline the action word in the sentence

1. The teacher will group the class into 2.


2. The teacher will put the envelopes containing words in the table.
3. Each I group will get one envelope.
4. Using cartolina and glue, each will paste the new words/ combine words. As
many as they can from the words inside the envelope.
5. The group who finish first in combining the words will be the winner.
