EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The intended research on “A Study on factors determining the dividend payment of

selected companies in telecommunication sector i.e. Bharti Airtel, Tata


communication, & MTNL for last five year from (2008-2012 ) ”.The prime
objective to study the determinants of dividend policy.
The dividend decision is one of the most of the strategic decision taken by the financial
management. Considerable attention is required to decide which dividend policy should be used.
Researcher uses some of the important determinants like profitability, .
The first part of the report is about the History of industry that is being undertaken for
study.
The second part presents an overview of Objective of the Study is to identify the significant
determinants of Dividend paid.
The third part consists of Research Methodology which includes Sampling, Data
Collection, Statistical and Analytical tool and the Limitations of the study. In this study
secondary data is used and the study is non- contrived.
Fourth part covers the Interpretation of the findings. Researcher finds out that
There exists a positive relationship between dividend payout and profitability.
And the last part covers the Recommendations along with Bibliography and Annexure.
