Machine Learning

Topic: Modelling and Improving Home Energy Performance

Dataset:

"Housing Data" and "B Physics Output" are the two parts to the data - these should align with
each other using the house ID code in the first column. I guess for modelling we'd seek to
model either Gas or Electricity (columns R and V).

Task to be done:

The task is to build a tool to take basic parameters for a house, find similar houses in the
existing data, and make simple recommendations on possible improvements, with
approximate savings for energy.

Energy-Time-To-Multiple-Thresholds (ETTMT) and Average-Energy-Time-To-Multiple-
Thresholds (AETTMT) metrics using machine learning -

Client: Canada

Topic;

Benchmarking for machine learning workloads should consider accuracy in addition to

execution time or throughput. The emerging ML Perf benchmark suite touts Time to
Accuracy (TTA) as the metric. In this paper, we explore the advantages and disadvantages of
different metrics that consider time and accuracy from the perspective of comparing the
hardware used for machine learning training. Single-threshold training time (e.g., time to
accuracy) versus multi-threshold training time is one of the comparisons we articulate. We
believe that the choice of a single threshold limits the information that can be revealed from
the run of the benchmark and sometimes makes it difficult to interpret the information for
further comparison. We find that the Time to Accuracy metric is highly sensitive to the
specific threshold chosen, and to the seed values in the machine learning algorithms. We
show that merely taking into account the time for training to multiple thresholds makes the
metric less sensitive to the specific threshold chosen and the seed values.

Sentiment analysis using machine learning

Client: U.S.A

Sentiment analysis using machine learning with NLP, using NLTK, word embedding, such as
Word2vec, RNN networks and Keras. Previously, I sought help for this problem from some
one who didn't have much experience with NLP, NLTK, and it didn't go very well..... So, it is
really critical to have experience with previously mentioned libraries and tools.

The model to perform better than the rule-based techniques. The final model is going to be
tested on financial corpus.
