Daily Labour Situation Report during the Lock down (COVID-19 Virus) Period

Sr. Remarks regarding Factories Closing/ Partial Closing Status ,
No District No of Workers lost their jobs along with Wages Status, Status
of Accidents, Status of Court Cases, Status of Strikes, Status of
Protests, Status of Complaints on Pakistan Citizen Portal or
any issue etc.
All the factories have been closed in the district except one ghee Mill, three Sugar mills,
one oil refinery, 3 power houses, 2 jute mills and 10 flour mills. Total No. of workers
lost their jobs are 12,977.The wages of the workers would be paid as per provision of
law. The date of hearing of cases of authority and compensation is fixed for 03-04-
2020.In Muzaffargarh Textile Mills MM Road Muzaffargarh, workers were on protest
for non-payment of monthly wages for the month of Feb 2020. Today at 3 P.M.
payment of workers have been started in the mills. Total complaints received in Pakistan
Citizen Portal is 154. Resolved Complaints are 139. In-Process Complaints are 3 and
new complaints are 12.Moreover, there are no escalated/ super escalated complaints on
PCP.
