tire and rubber company. BFNT develops, manufactures and markets Bridgestone,
Firestone and associate brand tires. BATO develops, manufactures and markets
Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand tires. The business unit is focused on
wholesale and original equipment markets, supplying passenger, light truck, commercial
vehicle, off-road, motorcycle, agricultural, and other tires to its customers in the
Americas. The Product Development Group, BATO is currently seeking candidates for
positions at its Technical Center in Akron, Ohio.

Advanced Tire Technology (Mechanical Engineering - BS, MS, PhD)

Engineers in this area are responsible for tire measurement, testing and simulation
technology to improve tire understanding and performance. They will be challenged to
investigate and clarify the mechanistic behavior of tires and their influence on vehicle
system performance. Ideal candidates are team players with an interest in solving
engineering problems and applying their technical skills to a variety of tire mechanics
themes such as contact mechanics, rubber and cord composite mechanics, nonlinear
material characterization, novel experimental and computational analyses of tire and
vehicle systems.
