Review: Using a Comma Between Dependent and Independent Clauses

Underline the Marker Word and add a comma after the dependant clause:

1) Even though Ms. Vanderham loves all of her ten cats, she loves Fluffy the
most.

2) Although Ms. Lane participates in the Cheese Juggling contest every year
she often ends up in last place.

3) Before Ms. Lusk finished her puzzle she had to walk her pet alligator.

4) Whenever Ms. Claybo visits the squirrels in her backyard she bring them
freshly baked muffins.

5) Until Ms. Copp realized she could open doors with her laser vision she
simply used the door handle like everyone else.

6) After Ms. Claybo did a triple backflip she awaited applause.

7) As Ms. Baker danced down the hallway she realized she had magical
twinkle toes.

8) When Ms. Lusk arrived she was wearing a charming top hat and cape.

9) While Ms. Lane sipped her morning coffee she sketched a drawing of her
favourite Star Wars ship.

10) Unless Ms. Baker could find the missing key the mysterious door would
remain closed.
